What information do you require about a venue?

Point of contact, hours for access and location for loading in and out all equipment and if there is a sound limiter in the venue.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I've had many really GREAT gigs but the top three that spring to mind would be singing backgrounds for Tony award winning and Grammy nominated artist Melba Moore at Le Nouveau Cap in Paris.

Second would be a tribute to Lauryn HIll's album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill as part of my 2025 residency at 38riv - the band was killing and the vibe with the audience was amazing.

Lastly (cheating because there are two moments like this) would be playing with my friend, the late Casey Benjamin (Robert Glasper experiment, Roy Ayers, etc) at Le Caveau des Oubliettes and recently with Matthias Loescher (guitarist for Lauryn Hill, NAS, Talib Kweli, etc) at Duc de Lombards - to be invited to share the stage with both of these insanely talented and accomplished musicians was a great honour.

What's your favourite type of event?

We love playing all sorts of events but my personal favourite would be weddings, specifically ceremonies - adding that extra element to such a precious and intimate moment is always really special and heartwarming for us, the musicians.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I've been singing for my entire life, vocally trained since age 9, including 3 years of classical voice, studied Contemporary Music performance (voice) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing arts and I have been gigging professionally for over 18 years. The majority of my career has been in Perth, Australia, then a couple of years in London, UK, and now I am based and work as a full-time musician and artist in Paris, France.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I love all styles of music but vocally I would say I gravitate towards big, female voices so my favourite artist and biggest influence would be Mariah Carey. Other artists who have influenced me musically and vocally include Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, D'angelo, Jojo, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly and Allen Stone. I would also say that I am heavily influenced by 90s and early 2000s as this was the music I grew up on, specifically the RNB joints coming out during that era.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Depending on the event times, access to loading areas and venues and size of the band, we generally arrive 1-2 hours before the call time. Quotes are generated based on a maximum of 2 x 40-45 min sets but happy to cater the package to each event.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We are happy to perform outside except for in winter or extreme cold/rainy weather. We will require shade, flat level surface and a power supply close to the stage area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Song requests are possible, however, would be capped at 5 outside of the provided repertoire. Happy for clients to provide a brief as to what songs/artists they would like or would not like played.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Consistent client feedback has been classy, elegant and high quality with really great song choices whilst being high energy and entertaining for guests.
