About / Biography

A Ghanaian-born musician based in France, Kwesi TI blends diverse musical influences with formal training in Music and Foreign Languages & Letters from the University of Education, Winneba and Université de Toulouse – Jean Jaurès.

Performing across Africa and Europe, I have worked with artists such as Alogte Oho and his sounds of joy (frafra gospel), Kay Slice, Leslie Jenny (Reggae), Karniss (Afro-Fusion, carribean), Poetra Asantewaa (Singer, Poet) and Grammy-winning drummer Max Weissenfeldt. With a passion for collaboration and cultural fusion, Kwesi TI continues to push musical boundaries and engage global audiences.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Sound & Equipment: PA system, microphones, monitors, mixing console, cables, and possibly backline gear like amps and drums.
Stage Setup: Proper stage size, power outlets, taped cables, lighting, and a clean, safe environment.
Schedule: Set times for load-in, soundcheck, and performance, with buffer time between acts.
Artist Needs: Dressing/green room, hospitality (water, snacks), secure storage, and parking/transport info.
Safety: Grounded equipment, surge protection, clear load-in/out access.
Admin: Signed contracts, insurance if needed, venue music licenses, and permissions for cover songs.


What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue."

Born in Ghana and currently based in France, Kwesi TI is a multilingual musician and performer whose work blends cultural influences with academic depth. With a background in Music and Foreign Languages & Letters from the University of Education, Winneba (Ghana) and Université de Toulouse – Jean Jaurès (France), Kwesi TI brings both passion and precision to his art. His musical journey has taken him across Africa and Europe, where he has performed at concerts and on international tours. Influenced by Brian Culbertson, Richard Bona, Jimmy Dludu, Chick Corea, Etienne Mbappe & Etienne Stadjwik.


What's your preferred audience?

I enjoy music audiences who are curious, open-hearted, and excited to discover new sounds—whether it’s a small intimate group or a big festival crowd. The energy and connection with the audience make the experience special.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Happy to perform outside with good weather treats of course.


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or request for at most 3 songs.
