Depending on the event and act booked we may require power and cover. We provide battery-powered speakers for events like wedding ceremonies, and offer gazebo hire for outdoor functions.
Before taking a deposit off you we'll contact the venue to check everything.
Yes. Pro PA and lighting systems included with every booking as required. Smoke/haze machine if the venue allows it. Wireless microphone for you MC/speeches if the venue doesn't have one.
Yes, we provide background music whenever not peforming or there are no formalities.
The best gig we've ever done was a wedding held at a school camp in Western Victoria. They booked our 7 piece band. We stayed up drinking with the guests until about 5am. Best venue perhaps the Arts Centre.

Matt Black Entertainment was established in 2012. Matt had spent 15 years performing in coverbands and as a fill-in and session musician.
We're heavily influenced by avant garde composer John Cage. Our favourite artist is Matisse. The greatest song of all time is, of course, Baby Shark.
Setup takes anywhere from 10 mins to 3 hours depending on the act and ease of access.
A typical set is 45 mins, but we always work around your schedule/formalities, and are happy to start or stop playing at any time you need us to.
Yes. We can perform in the open with a battery-powered speaker, otherwise for our powered systems we'll require cover from the sun and rain. If no cover is provided we offer gazebo hire for $200.
We welcome requests both before and during the event. Whatever we don't know how to play live we'll put on for you in the breaks. Our DJs can play anything you want.
