Izzy Skinner is a Melbourne-based violinist, singer, and composer known for her soulful blend of classical training, jazz sensibility, and contemporary indie-folk and rock influences.
I am multi-instrumentalist (violin, vocals, guitar, and bass) working across alternative rock, folk, and pop. While violin often gets boxed into “classical,” my work sits firmly in contemporary, genre-blending spaces—something that consistently surprises and engages new listeners.
I have independently released six albums/EPs to date, building a fully self-directed project from the ground up, including physical releases on CD and vinyl.
If you like music that sits somewhere between folk and art‑pop—lyrically reflective, sonically gentle but with flashes of virtuosic violin, this will hit the spot!
