All I need is a place close to the venue to be able to park my car and the rest, I can handle!
Location! In my experience I have always arrived early at the venue and adapted on the spot - have never encountered any problems so will continue doing that.
I'm fully equipped with all the necessary wireless sound systems to carry out a high quality solo violin performance with a backing track including a microphone, mixer and an Everse 8 speaker (which can get as loud as we need). However I do not provide lighting equipment.
I can absolutely put on Spotify playlists for you to fill the background when I'm not performing.
The best gig I've ever done was to work with renowned Persian artist 'Alireza Ghorbani' for an unforgettable performance which was a celebration of Persian poetry hosted at the Sydney Opera House!
I really love big corporate events like gala dinners or awards ceremonies. There's a special mystery and aura about them! I also love performing at sporting events like the Formula 1 or Australian Open!
Ever since I remember, I've always been performing in front of people since the age of 5 when I started playing. We had a big family back in my country and a lot of relatives so I would always play for them.
More so recently, as I was being classically trained I was playing in orchestras like Melbourne Youth Orchestra & a couple of gigs with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Hamer Hall. After some time of doing that I wanted to branch out into performing as a soloist as that's where my heart truly lied. I got into touring around Australia with some renowned artists as a soloist playing in venues like the Sydney Opera House, Palais Theatre etc.
Eventually I realised I'm receiving a lot of requests to play at weddings and other corporate events as entertainment! So I started my business NIMA Creates back in September 2024 to focus on providing tailored solo performances for such events. Ever since I haven't looked back and I've done all sorts of privately organised events!
I've been majorly influenced by violinists Jascha Heifetz, Ray Chen & Maxim Vengerov in my upbringing as a young violinist when I was focusing on classical music. Later on as I was branching out into performing other genres I derived inspiration from cross over violinist David Garret & other musicians within a similar category such as the two cellists from 2cellos; Luka Silic & Stepjan Hauser!
The greatest song of all time in my opinion is a soundtrack from the movie Gladiator by Hanz Zimmer called 'Now We Are Free'.
I always arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour before performance time in order to do a soundcheck. This ensures my performance will sound the best that it can according to the specific venue we're in.
Performance times are completely tailored to each event and I don't follow a particular pattern. Let's discuss what your needs are first - I'm not just coming to play music, I'm coming to tell your unique story through the sound of the violin.
Yes, providing it is not raining - I can play anywhere. If it is raining but there is some kind of shade above us that will prevent my equipment from getting wet I can still perform for you.
The clients have the only say! They choose how to tailor every single aspect of my performance to suit their style, event and the story they're trying to tell. This includes all the songs. I do have an extensive song list they can go through and pick their favourite ones.
