Milton Gengaya is a comedian and MC who brings quick-witted, clean humour and genuine warmth to every stage he steps onto.
Since 2016, he's built a reputation for engaging audiences with observational comedy that lands just right, whether he's headlining or hosting the show.
Milton is a two-time finalst of Parkers; Comikaze's "Last Comic Standing" competition in 2017 and 2018.
Critically appraised performances led to voiceover work, sketch writing, and his own pop-culture themed show on Hillbrow Radio in 2018.
He spent four years as a resident comic at Young Rebels Studio in Randburg, building a solid following before making the move to Cape Town in 2023.
In 2024 he won "The Voice of CCFM" talent search. Earning a voiceover recording contract with the popular community radio station.
Also in 2024 he was selected as a City of Cape Town "Humour Hero" - finishing in the top 3 and earning a spot to perform in front of 80000 people at the Cape Town Festive Lights Switch-On event.
Currently, Milton freelances as an MC, voiceover artist, and writer, splitting his time between corporate events, stand-up gigs, and creative projects. He's comfortable hosting everything from intimate gatherings to larger events.
His material works just as well in a corporate setting as it does in a comedy club.

The biggest gig I have ever done was for the City of Cape Town. Performing a short stand-up comedy set to over 80000 people at the Festive Lights Switch-On event in December 2024.
My best events though, personally, are MC'ing social gatherings. Whether it be a birthday or wedding, my personable style really allows me to connect with the audience.
I love all types of events but if I had to choose, I would have to go with either weddings or birthdays. The atmosphere really allows for a fun, relaxed experience
I have been MC'ing social events since I was a teen, and later at my various workplaces I was entrusted with the same responsibility. This led me to take up stand-up comedy in 2016. I have performed at numerous weddings, birthdays and events ever since.
I usually arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. I usually need about 5 to 10 minutes to do a quick mic check with the sound team.
I am happy to perform outside providing that the sound set up allows for it and there is shade close by.
All my material is clean (no swearing) and family friendly.
