Modern Tigers Jazz Band is a group that pays tribute to American popular music from the 1920s and 1930s. A golden age when hot jazz and swing set the rhythm of nightlife, clubs, and dance halls.
The band is made up of four musicians active in the spanish jazz scene: Alberto Sanzol on trumpet, Albert Carrique on tenor saxophone, clarinet, and vocals, Gonzalo de la Serna on banjo and guitar, and Alejandro Ollero on double bass.
Thanks to this instrumental and vocal combination, Modern Tigers Jazz Band delivers a dynamic and versatile show, alternating instrumental pieces with vocal numbers and exploring a wide range of styles within the jazz of the 1920s and 1930s. From traditional New Orleans sounds to the early rhythms of swing, including nostalgic ballads and beautiful melodies.
