We need a performance space of at least 8 meters x 5 meters. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets
We need to know the venue's backline & load in information. We also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
We have our own PA & can provide lighting if requested.
We’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
Our best gig so far was Oktoberfest Pub night at Amherst Island held on October 17, 2026. The best venue so far was a backyard in Gananoque for a private gig.
We love any type of event. But since our repertoire are mostly high energy danceable hits, the best events for us are parties where people would dance & sing along
We are all well-experienced musicians with many years of gigging experienxe. As Moody Ruby, we started building our setlist in May 2026 & have started performing live since August 2026.
We have a variety of songs in our repertoire from Dolly Parton, Blondie, Pat Benatar to Cheap Trick & Tragically Hip & so much more! We love a wide range of music genre & base our selection on what pleases the crowd the most. So far, our best well-received songs are: You Oughta Know by Alanis Morrisette, Hot Stuff by Donna Summer, Surrender by Cheap Trick, One Way or Another by Blondie, The Middle by Jimmy Eats World & White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the show for set up & sound check. We usually do 2 45-minute sets with 15 minute break & the last set is 1-hour. This covers a 3-hour show.
We're happy to perform outside, preferably on a platform with shade & enough power supply for our gears.
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
Previous customers have described us as a high energy group that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing
