About / Biography

Morphic is an electronic music project with a constantly evolving sonic identity. Rooted in house, tech house, techno, and melodic techno, Morphic fuses driving energy with immersive atmospheres, creating a sonic journey that adapts to different dance floors, audiences, and states of mind.

More than a genre, Morphic is an evolving approach to music — where every set and every production reflects a continuous search for new textures, rhythms, and emotions. Inspired by the power of club music and the introspection of melodic electronic sounds, Morphic balances groove and depth, beat and storytelling.

This project was born from the desire to break boundaries, exploring both the raw strength of sound in the club and the subtlety of detail in the studio. It’s sound in transformation — it’s Morphic.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of the most memorable gigs I've ever done was at Discoteca Estaleiro. The energy of the crowd and the atmosphere of the venue really made it a standout performance. The connection with the audience and the quality of the sound system created the perfect environment for my set.

As for the best venue, I would say Zen Lounge Bar holds a special place. Not only because I was responsible for sound for all the events there, but also because of the intimate yet powerful vibe that the venue offers. It's a space where the music and the crowd truly come together, creating an unforgettable experience.

What's your favourite type of event?

My favorite type of event is one where the crowd is deeply connected to the music and the atmosphere is electric. I love performing at underground techno parties, intimate club nights, or large-scale events where the energy is palpable, and the crowd is fully immersed in the experience. The vibe of these events, where people are there to truly enjoy the music, makes them special and rewarding for me as an artist.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started my DJ career playing in smaller venues, where I honed my skills and began to understand the crowd's energy. Over time, I built my way up, performing at iconic spots like Zen Lounge Bar and Discoteca Estaleiro, where I was able to connect with audiences in a more intimate way while also playing at bigger events. My experience as a sound technician for various events helped me understand both the technical and artistic sides of live performances, giving me a solid foundation for my DJ sets.

I initially started gigging through friends and local connections, but as I grew my sound and developed my identity with Morphic, the gigs started to come naturally. I’ve since had the chance to perform in some of the best venues in Lisbon, refining my craft and learning what it takes to keep the energy flowing and the crowd engaged.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’ve been heavily influenced by artists like Charlott de Witte, HI-LO, and Eli Brown. Their ability to create powerful, driving techno with deep, hypnotic elements has been a big inspiration in shaping my sound. The energy and atmosphere they build in their tracks and sets have guided me in developing my own style and approach to DJing.

As for my favorite artist, HI-LO stands out. His unique blend of techno and bass-driven elements creates a distinct sound that resonates deeply with me and aligns with the direction I want to take my music.

The greatest song of all time? It’s hard to pick just one, but I would say “Raveolution” by HI-LO is up there. It encapsulates everything I love about dance music — raw energy, a driving beat, and a sense of euphoria that you can’t help but get lost in.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

For a typical performance, I usually require about 1 hour to set up my equipment and ensure everything is properly configured. This includes connecting the CDJs, mixer, monitors, and ensuring the sound system is optimized for the venue. If I need to bring my own equipment, I may need additional time for transport and setup.

In terms of performance, my sets typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, but I’m flexible and can adapt depending on the event’s schedule. I’m always ready to adjust my performance to match the vibe and flow of the night.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I’m definitely happy to perform outside! There’s something special about playing in an open-air environment, where the music and atmosphere can interact with the surroundings. As long as the sound system and technical requirements are met, I enjoy the unique energy that outdoor gigs provide.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I don’t accept specific song requests. I curate my sets based on the energy of the crowd and the vibe of the event. While I have a clear style and vision for each performance, I ensure that the music flows seamlessly, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone. My aim is to keep the atmosphere alive and energetic, trusting my expertise to read the crowd and adjust the sound accordingly.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients often describe my performances as dynamic, energetic, and immersive. They highlight my ability to read the crowd and create a seamless flow of music that keeps everyone engaged and dancing throughout the night. Many have mentioned how I bring a unique vibe to the event, combining deep, hypnotic beats with high-energy moments that keep the atmosphere electric. The overall feedback tends to focus on the intensity and connection I create between the music and the crowd.
