One of the best gigs I’ve ever done was performing at a charity event for the Carolina Panthers. It was an incredible experience—not just because of the high-profile nature of the event, but because of the energy in the room and the purpose behind it. Playing music in support of a good cause, in front of an audience that was fully engaged and appreciative, made it truly special. The venue itself was top-notch, professionally run, and had amazing acoustics, which made it one of the best I’ve ever worked at. Moments like that remind me why I love what I do.

Weddings are definitely my favorite type of event to play. There’s something uniquely special about being part of such an important, joyful day in people’s lives. The energy is always positive, the crowd is emotionally connected, and the music becomes a core part of the celebration. I love being able to help create unforgettable memories through my performance—it’s an honor every time.

I've been a professional musician for nearly 15 years since I was a teenager

I’ve been most influenced by artists like Grover Washington Jr., Sonny Rollins, and John Coltrane. Each of them shaped my musical perspective in unique ways—Grover’s soulful smoothness, Sonny’s fearless improvisation, and Coltrane’s deep spiritual and technical mastery have all left a lasting mark on me. My favorite artists are Sonny Rollins, Prince, and Stevie Wonder. I admire them not only for their incredible musicality but also for their ability to push boundaries and express deep emotion through their work. As for the greatest song of all time—that's tough to pin down. I love all kinds of music, and different songs resonate with me in different ways depending on the moment. Music is too rich and varied to choose just one.

I typically arrive about 45 minutes to an hour before hand to setup. I can perform up to 5 hours with a 10 minute break each hour.

I'm happy to play outside but I ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

I can learn specific songs before the event but I usually limit this to 2 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from my repertoire or let me choose the music for them."
