I am a jazz trumpet player based in Helsinki, Finland. I will be in Fuengirola this summer from 20.7.2026 to 15.8.2026.

I am available for live performances, recordings, and collaborative music projects. I perform in a variety of lineups ranging from big bands and jazz orchestras to small jazz ensembles and combo settings. Those include for example UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, Ricky Tick Big Band, and of course my own band, the Rebecca Ekman Quintet.

My main musical focus is jazz, including swing, bebop, and more modern jazz styles. I regularly perform jazz standards from the 1950s and 1960s repertoire, as well as contemporary jazz compositions. I am experienced in both section playing in large ensembles and improvisational solo work.
