The band originates from the late 80s and is based in Haarlem. Our style is inspired on Jamaican old skool ska music, energetic and easy to dance on. We have performed on many festivals and stages throughout the Netherlands for over 35 years.
The BOUNCERS is a typical stage band that seeks to entertain audiences with their unique songs that invite participation and will make you want to move. So, do not hire us for a polite background murmur to your event. We will liven up the place and make it a show with any set between 30 to 90 minutes.
Our crew consists of a frontman, a lead guitarist and a full rhythm section (bass, drums and rhythm guitar) plus five horns (Trombone, Trumpet and 3 Saxophones). We also bring our own sound man.

Our technical rider will give you full details. In short: Stage size would ideally be 5 x 8 meters, 2 x 13 amp sockets and minimum 5 parking spaces are needed.
How to reach the venue (address and directions for loading and parking); a safe space to keep equipment and valuables; is there some kind of dressing room? is there a sound limiter in the venue?
Yes, we are fully self contained and we will bring our own PA system as well as a simple lighting rig. We do not share our system or equipment with other groups.
We do not provide it, but we can recommend a suitable DJ service to complement our gig. If needed we can play some music of our choice before opening and during clear out of the stage
We can bring our own set up and a modest light system
We maintain a warm relationship with a variety of pop-stages and festivals throughout the Netherlands, but in particular "Het Patronaat" in Haarlem, which is our breeding ground. Also, in 2025 we organized our own 35th anniversary concert for our fanbase in Haarlem. This was a memorable and fun event and a cherished success playing in the public park "Haarlemmer Hout".
We are best placed at a party of some size, where we entertain and involve the audience into dancing and singing along with our catchy songs.
We started back in the 1990s and have been gigging at hundreds of events ever since. In later years we had to juggle our time with professional and family commitments to keep up with demand, but we always bring enormous enthousiasm and energy to any of our gigs.
2 Tone ska
We like to arrive 2 hours before the planned performance. Set up can require 1,5 hours (including sound check). We play sets of 30 up to 90 minutes. If needed this can be extended. It is our experience that our show works best if we play one full set without breaks. Depending on the type of party of course but a 60 minute set works well.
Out doors is fine, as long as we have shade (and more importantly we are kept out of the rain). We do need a flat level surface with sufficient power supply near the performance area.
We play our own choice of songs from our BOUNCERS-repertoire. We would make an effort to include any preferences from our repertoire.
