I'm a piano-accordionist, and pianist. I have played piano and accordion for many weddings and corporate functions, and my repertoire is very wide: on accordion my particular specialty is French chanson and Italian repertoire, Tarantella Napolitana, Volare etc. I have also played for Oktoberfest events, Irish funerals, and even Finnish events.
I am a regularly booked pianist for all kinds of occasions, and am always happy to prepare whatever repertoire my clients would like. I enjoy playing many genres, from classical and American standards to jazz and mainstream pop.
Recent Corporate Clients : Proptech conference at the O2 Arena, On Air Dining, Rock Capital, P & O Ferries.
My gigs recently have been playing the piano for Jonny & Rosie Harris's wedding reception at Langan's Brasserie (1st Feb 2026) and for Spike and Zoe's wedding reception at the Hurlingham Club. I have performed candle-lit concerts - 'Twilight Date Night' - in Thame, Luton, Reading, Bedford, Hitchin and many other towns, which have been a great success, and playing piano for corporate clients, as well as private birthday celebrations and hotel functions.

Stephen likes to find out the client’s favourites and present a tailor-made set of songs for the evening.
With the accordion I just need a chair and a table, and access to electric point if the client would like me to play amplified music between my sets. Also, if bringing a keyboard, I require electrical access for the keyboard and amplifier, and a piano stool or straight-backed chair without arms. For my musical comedy act I will require mic and amplification but if this is not provided I can bring my own.
Parking info, whether I can get access at least half an hour before the event, if it requires PAT-test certificates as many listed buildings and old function rooms demand it.
I provide sound equipment, eg amplifier for my piano, and music to play between my sets, but not lighting.
I can provide Itunes music between my sets.
Yes.
Yes.
I played grand piano at the 02 International for the Proptech Conference the last 2 years, which was great, and have performed candle-lit concerts around London, 'Twilight Date Nights'; I've also played accordion for a Spanish couple on a barge near Camden Lock which was romantic.
Playing French accordion music for a restaurant or playing grand piano for a wedding.
I have been an actor and theatre musician, musical director, I started gigging regularly over 10 years ago.
I suppose Astor Piazzolla for the accordion, Richter and Curzon on piano and Victor Borge for my comedy.
I normally arrive at least half an hour- forty minutes before the performance. I don't take long to set up.
I'm happy to play outside with the accordion, and if it is the piano I need a power supply close to the performance area."
The clients definitely have a say in what I play. I like to make the event special and meaningful to them, and am happy to learn particular favourites.
My recent client, Thomas Holroyd, wrote in May 26: "Stephen is a brilliant wedding pianist. Very talented and professional. He helped us select the pieces for our wedding and played them beautifully. Highly recommended." pike Laurie (Private wedding) 10 Feb 2026
