We are a fully self-contained band, equipped with professional gear and PA system to ensure a seamless performance. We also provide shareable wireless microphones for announcements and band lighting to enhance the visual atmosphere of your event. Although we have our own gear, we are happy to use venue provided sound equipment should the venue require the use of their house system.

Yes, we’re happy to provide & play digital music from our sound system before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves that is similar in genre to the music the band performs or let the client choose the music.

We’ve been fortunate to perform at so many various events and each one seems to always a special & unique memory for each band member.

We love playing at all sorts of events including show rooms, nightclubs, restaurants, weddings, special events & private parties.

Based in the heart of Las Vegas, Straight Ahead is a premier jazz standard, smooth jazz, Pop and R&B band featuring a lineup of highly seasoned musicians with years of performance experience and formal musical education.

Being mostly a Jazz band each member has been influenced by so many of the great players dating back from the start of Jazz, big band and pop music.

We normally arrive about 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 1 hour sets with 15 minute breaks in between. However, we’re extremely flexible to the needs of the client and/or venue and happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that 1 hour sets suit us and our audiences best.

Yes. We have a great deal of experience playing outdoors and enjoy the atmosphere. We would like to graciously ask that proper shade, cooling or heating be provided along with power sources close to the performance area.

Occasionally, we learn specific songs for the event as required but we usually limit this to no more than 5 songs especially depending on the amount of time the request is made prior to the event. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
