The Swing-swing Band, as its name suggests, draws on the roots of classic dance music when selecting its repertoire. Building on this tradition, the band presents songs by some of the most popular composers and performers of the entire 20th century.
The band members were brought together, and continue to be united, by the joy and excitement of making music together. Their approach combines respect for musical traditions with the freedom of creative expression, allowing the ensemble to continually reinvent itself and explore new musical possibilities, whether through carefully arranged vocal and instrumental harmonies or spontaneous improvisation.
Although the band's name refers to the golden age of traditional jazz and its timeless, enduring style, its repertoire spans popular and dance music from the 1910s to the present day. It features songs made famous by artists such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Stan Getz, Astrud Gilberto, and Diana Krall.
Alongside swings and ballads (slow numbers), the band performs bossa novas, sambas, biguines, boogies, rumbas, tangos, and even English waltzes.
Thanks to the band's extensive repertoire, the programme can be tailored to the organiser's preferences in advance. For example, it can feature more Hungarian-language songs, a greater emphasis on swing, more Latin music, or other selections to suit the occasion.

We need a performance space of at least 5 meters x 3 meters. We require 1 x 20 amp power sockets and 2 parking spaces.
We need to know the exact location of the venue, including an address or GPS coordinates that can be used for navigation. We also need information about access to the venue for loading and unloading musical instruments and other equipment, as well as whether the performance area is covered or open-air.
The band has its own basic sound equipment, including microphones, cables, and a Soundcraft Ui24R mixing console, as well as a PA system suitable for indoor venues and smaller outdoor events (2 × RCF ART 912A powered speakers).
The band also has a basic lighting setup.
For larger events, the organiser or venue is responsible for providing the necessary sound reinforcement and lighting equipment.
We can provide the option of playing music from an MP3 player or USB storage device according to the organiser's preferences. The band can also provide its own selection of recorded music, subject to prior arrangement.
If the venue provides the outdoor sound system, it only needs to provide XLR inputs for the left and right audio channels. The band can supply all the necessary equipment, including microphones, microphone stands, stage monitors, a mixing console, and cables.
However, setup and soundcheck can be significantly faster if the venue provides the cables, stage monitors, microphone stands, and a drum microphone kit.
We particularly enjoy performing at outdoor summer events, such as the Rozé, Rizling and Jazz Festival, where we have performed every year since the festival began.

The band was formed 35 years ago and has been performing regularly at a wide variety of events ever since.
The band's favourite performers include Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Chris Connor, Carmen McRae, and Louis Armstrong. Our favourite composers are Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and Antônio Carlos Jobim.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 90 minutes or 120 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We are happy to perform outdoors, either in a shaded area protected from direct sunlight or on an uncovered stage after sunset.
The band has a repertoire of approximately 400 songs, and we primarily recommend choosing from this selection. However, we are also happy to learn new songs upon request, provided they fit the band's musical style.
Our previous clients have described us as a cheerful, dynamic band whose members clearly enjoy what they do, and whose enthusiasm is contagious, spreading to the audience as well.
