As a celebrant I require a small ceremony space, a microphone/sound system for larger weddings if available, and access to the ceremony area around 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. A signing table and chairs may also be required depending on the ceremony style.

I like to know the exact ceremony location, guest numbers, access details, parking arrangements, wet weather options and whether a sound system or microphone is available. I also ask about timings and any venue restrictions.

I can provide a portable microphone and speaker for smaller ceremonies if required for an extra cost. For larger weddings, I recommend professional sound equipment supplied by the venue or entertainment company.

I am happy to help coordinate ceremony music and timing, including entrance and exit songs. However, I do not provide a DJ or full music service.

I normally arrive around 30 to 40 minutes before the ceremony to prepare and liaise with the venue, photographer and entertainment team. Ceremony lengths vary but are usually between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the style of ceremony and any personalised elements included.

Absolutely. Many of the ceremonies I conduct in Portugal take place outdoors at villas, beaches and luxury venues. I just ask that there is a suitable backup option in case of extreme weather.
