G'day. I'm Todd,
Seasoned and easy going drummer that really wants to play music with anyone at any time in a receptive environment of creativity and mutual respect. Been gigging in cover and original bands all across the country for decades with dozens of different musos.
Can play all styles except extended blast beats. Don't mind learning original stuff, or covering the classics across all genres and styles. Got a lovely Mapex kit I can squeeze just about any noise out of, will travel, and just really love playing the drums.
Also got professional Peavy fold backs, PA, and mixer if wherever the gig is doesn't have sound equipment.
hit me up! You won't be disappointed.
= areas covered (up to 330 miles)
= free travel (up to 20 miles)
Every song ever in 4/4.
Many songs in 6/8
a couple of songs in 5/4
One song in 33/16 (the only Tool song I can play. Thanks lockdown)!
None, really. Will BYO kit and sound equipment if necessary. Mics, foldbacks, PA, cables, mics, mixer, amps, etc.
Where to put my kit and whether or not they provide a backline. Happy to play on any house equipment.
Yes, I can. Laser machine and smoke machine also. Couple of basic stage lights too.
Yes.
Best gig was in a squat in Footscray about ten years ago called "Hot Shots". We knew no one there, but the tiny joint was packed with about 150 people and absolutely lost their minds to every song we played, even though they didn't know any of our originals. A memorable one, for sure.
Live music. Anywhere, anytime.
Started gigging as a DJ in the mid-2000's. Had regular spots at The Commercial Hotel Yarraville (RIP), and The Order of Melbourne on Swanston Street (also RIP).
First giged as a drummer in 2012 after hooking up with my guitarist/ best mate Pato for the first time. We quickly formed a cover band called The Drinkermen, comedy rap quartet (The Inkermen), and a two-piece punk band called Wet Love. All three still run to this day.
I've probably played about 150-200 gigs across all types of venues and gigs indoors and out. Having our own sound equipment means getting regular bookings for birthdays and parties a lot easier. We are trust worthy and underrated.
Blink 182 and Coheed and Cambria are two main drumming influences, but I've drawn widely from 70's rock to modern pop and all in between. I naturally play heavier and fast stuff because it's a better workout, but can wander through a ballad just as easily.
I don't play any Michael Jackson for ethical reasons.
There's no such thing.
Yes, very.
Both depending on the gig. I'm extremely adaptable.
Amazing, awesome, cool, fun, exciting, high energy, and technically impressive because I can sing and drum well simultaneously.
Whoever. We often book our own. Too many to specifically list.
