Truth Be Told Brass Band brings the sound, movement and energy of a New Orleans brass band to weddings, formal second lines, corporate and hospitality events, private celebrations, memorials and public events.
Our usual booking lineup is six musicians: trumpet, saxophone, trombone, snare drum, bass drum and tuba. The full seven-piece lineup adds a second trombone. We offer a casual or informal presentation for selected straightforward events and a formal black-and-white presentation for weddings, corporate programs and premium celebrations.
C. Hosey leads the act through C Hosey Productions and coordinates each booking around the moment the client wants to create. Depending on scope, that can include route planning, permits, police-escort coordination and separately booked cultural performers. Those elements are never assumed; they are confirmed and itemized for the event.
Most brass-band features are built around a high-impact entrance, second line, sendoff, surprise appearance or finale. Longer performances and travel are available by custom quote. Final lineup, attire, timing, location, access and logistics are confirmed in writing before booking.

For most brass-band features we perform acoustically and do not require power. We need a safe, clear performance or staging area, an unobstructed route where applicable, practical load-in access and weather protection for outdoor events.
Please provide the exact start and finish points, indoor or outdoor setting, route or movement plan, stairs or elevators, parking and load-in instructions, venue restrictions, sound limits, and the status of any permits or police escort arrangements.
The standard brass-band performance is acoustic and does not include lighting or a PA system. If amplification, staging, lighting or additional production is needed, it must be confirmed and quoted for the specific event.

We performed for a memorial which involved us and a number of other brass bands. The best venue to date has been Sophisticated Linens.

Most bookings are built around a focused 30-minute feature, entrance, second line or sendoff. Acoustic setup is minimal, but arrival and call time depend on parking, access, route briefing, staging and event coordination. Longer formats are quoted separately.
Yes, provided the route and performance area are safe and the weather is suitable. For stationary outdoor performances we require a level area and appropriate shade or weather protection. Weather and contingency plans are confirmed before the event.
Clients can share preferred songs and the mood or moment they want to create. Final selections are confirmed in advance and remain subject to the band's instrumentation, arrangement needs and available preparation time.
