With over 20 years’ professional experience performing in the UK, Spain and Switzerland, the members have performed in various formats at a diverse range of events and venues large and small: from castles, vineyards, luxury hotels, ski resorts and football stadiums, to intimate bars and restaurants; from weddings and family parties to summer festivals and international corporate events.
All of this experience and versatility has gone into forming Uptown Lights – an act designed to please, whatever the occasion.

We require a performance space of ideally 4m side to side and 3m front to back, although we can fit into a smaller space.
We require a standard electricity connection close to the performance area, and a parking space.
We need to know if there are any directions to the venue that differ from those provided by standard navigation systems (Google Maps etc.)
We provide a PA system suitable for up to 500 people, and a simple party lighting system.
We can play a Spotify background playlist between our sets, or connect the client's device (laptop, phone...) to our sound system if they have their own playlist.
Too many to mention - we have played on boat parties on Swiss lakes, on the top of mountains in the alps, in major football stadiums, castles...
Our music is suitable for many events. Wedding receptions or parties are always fun, as are birthday party and company parties.
We have played professionally for over 20 years - beginning in pubs and bars Spain, then events such as weddings, corporate events and parties in hotels and then the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany. We have played both in 4-5 piece bands and as a duo.

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance time in order to set up and sound check.
We usually play 3 sets of 40 minutes, spread across the afternoon or evening. We can split the sets differently (4 x 30 mins etc.)
We are happy to perform outside, except in winter.
For outside performances, in case of uncertain weather, we require rain cover and/or an alternative indoor space to be available.
In summer, we require shade to be provided.
We also require a standard electricity connection close to the performance area
We normally choose songs from our repertoire on the spot, so we can adapt to the mood at any given time.
If the clients definitely want us to play a particular song from our repertoire, that is fine.
We can learn up to 2 non-repertoire songs, and would charge 100 CHF per song to cover learning/rehearsal.
