The Chloe Levaillant duo is a duo based in Bern with an instrumentation composed of guitar, vocals, percussion and cello. Their songs composed by Chloe Levailant are a vibrant mix of roots and alternative acoustic, with hints of folk, jazz and reggae beats. From the collaboration between these two young artists emerges a unique musical world, influenced by Chloe’s background as a french- british folk singer-songwriter with a classical opera training and Gabriels roots in traditional argentinian music and his passion for jazz and oriental music.
With clear silky vocals, soaring melodies played on the cello, driving rhythms and inspiring lyrics that capture both the darkness and the beauty of life, the Chloe Levaillant duo touch the hearts of their listeners. The songs written in French, English and Spanish intertwine themes of freedom, love and strength, borrowing from elements found in nature.
Our sound has been compared to the likes of Agnes Obel, Alice Phoebe Lou, Joanna Newsom and Aurora. Depending on the venue, we blend our original music with unexpected popular covers to create an atmospheric performance.
