We need a performance space of at least 4 meters x 3 meters. We require two parking spaces.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load our equipment. We'd also need to be informed if there are any requests that need to be played.
We do not provide our own sound and lighting equipment. If extra equipment is needed, the venue has to provide for us.
Yes, we can. Although it is not usually our way to do things.
We played for the International Kodaly Society that came to South Africa for a course and performed at their Gala evening at the University of Pretoria Musaion Theatre.
We love playing at any type of event but corporate and restaurant gigs as well as weddings are our favourite.
We started gigging whilst we were both at university and have stayed an ensemble since. We've mostly participated in competitions, but we've performed at several theatres including the Musaion at the University of Pretoria for the International Kodaly course gala evening.
We were not necessarily influenced by a certain artist, but the composer Astor Piazzolla wrote several pieces that we love performing, including the Libertango and Oblivion.
We normally arrive 1 hour before performances to set up, depending on the venue and technical requirements. We normally perform 2 x 45 minute set.
We are happy to play outside, but then we ask for shade, a flat level surface, a power supply close to the performance area and technical equipment to amplify the guitar.
We have a set repertoire list, but we can learn up 5 songs if that be the case.
