Performance space of 10x10 preferred, minimum of 8x8 for DJ only with dedicated reliable power outlets Within 50 ft of performance area. Outdoor events require shade or shelter, which can be provided by Entertainer if not available at venue for a small fee.
Address and access to Performance area. Need to know if there are any steps or stairs, elevators or long distance to the performance area from the unloading spot. Also need to know if Certificate of Insurance is required, and parking availability.
Yes all Sound and Lighting equipment is provided. We provide a professional audio system, appropriate speakers for the venue size, multiple lighting options including disco, laser, dance lighting and led as well as fog / Haze availability and bubble machine.
Yes, we play music before and in between singers with the ability to play music chosen by the client or appropriate for the event. We work with clients beforehand to ensure desired music is available.
There are too many to choose from, but over the past year I really enjoyed providing DJ and karaoke for thousands of people and the Star-Spangled Spectacular Community event in Storm Lake Iowa. I also really enjoyed doing a taste of Shakopee in the outdoor Amphitheater at Huber Park, the sound was fantastic, as well as some large corporate events at the Glass House in Minneapolis and the Mill City Museum in downtown Minneapolis.
It's really hard for me to pick a favorite as I really enjoy what I do and love entertaining in different ways with music. I love large groups such as corporate events and weddings. Whether I'm singing or just playing music, I love keeping people happy and entertained with music!
I have been doing karaoke and DJ shows since 1993. After going out and singing one night I was approached by the owner of the company and asked if I would like to come on board as a KJ and DJ. That was almost 33 years ago. I have continued working in some capacity since then. A little over a year ago I was given the opportunity to start my own company and it has expanded and grown into much more than I originally planned and I've decided to make this my full-time career!
I have such a wide range of music that I enjoy listening to and singing that I can't tell you one favorite. I also don't believe that there is one song that is the greatest of all time. A few do come to mind but likely because I enjoy singing them, one of them is I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Another is Never Enough from the Greatest Showman soundtrack. I also have a lot of country influence, especially 90s and early 2000s female country artists. I sing a lot of country music and I really enjoy singing power ballads and power hits by artists like Celine Dion, Heart, Martina McBride and others. There are also many male artists I love such as Michael Jackson, Prince, and some of my favorite bands our Journey and the Eagles
Depending on the venue I like to arrive between 2 and 3 hours prior to Performance time. This gives me plenty of time to set up, do a sound check, troubleshoot any issues I may have and then have some down time to freshen up and prepare for the performance or event. Every event is different but the majority of them are between 3 and 4 hours in length. Once I start I generally don't take a break unless it's more than 4 hours. I am very flexible in extending time if people are having a good time and have done it many times for clients. I'm extremely easy to work with and my goal is always to keep my clients and customers happy.
Yes! I have done many outdoor events. I only need a flat level dry surface and a power supply within 50 ft. If there is no shelter or shade available I do provide my own 8x8 event tent/shade to protect sensitive electronic equipment from the Sun and other elements.
Clients always have a say in what I play. If it's a DJ event, I provide access to a planning portal for those who wish to have more input in specific songs, genres or setlists. I'm always willing to be flexible and allow clients to pick the music that best suits their event. I also try to make sure that family events have only family friendly and non-offensive music played. Unless I am told otherwise that is my standard.
I've been told I'm fun and energetic, I know how to read a crowd and keep the flow going whether it's with DJ music or karaoke. I'm also very well known for a very fair rotations and karaoke and for having an excellent ear for sound. I am complimented frequently about the wonderful sound quality at my shows.
Absolutely! This is actually a very popular option for many corporate events, private events and parties. When I am booked for a karaoke event, I always play DJ music between singers or during down time.
