The Westside Big Band presents an impressive cross-section of big band repertoire from its early days to the present, ranging from swing to funk and Latin.
Based in Bern (Switzerland), the Westside Big Band is a semi-professional jazz orchestra comprising 17 musicians since 1991, cultivating a unique repertoire ranging from timeless big band classics to contemporary compositions. This is driven by a passion for the big band sound, and with the aim of preserving this impressive form of jazz and conveying it authentically. No other ensemble allows for a wider range of dynamics, sound and groove than the big band.
Look forward to a rousing big band sound that appeals to a wide audience and entertains to the highest standard.
