Review Centre: Guitarists

"There’s a local connection to this marvellous presentation of Andalusian culture. Daniel Martinez studied flamenco guitar from the age of seven in his native Cordoba and played in the city’s tablaos before moving to the UK in 2015 and establishing his guitar school in Edinburgh. His flamenco troupe has two Scottish guitarists and one of this production’s pieces expresses the happiness Martinez has found in Scotland but the music and movement are undiluted Andalusia. The venue even obliged with Andalusian temperatures, making dancer Gabriela Pouso’s intense and astonishingly precise footwork all the more admirable. There’s music in Pouso’s feet and her close coordination with Martinez’ brilliantly nimble and massively colourful musicianship would have been worth the ticket price alone. That, though, would have robbed us of the fantastically expressive singing and the violinist's superb articulation with his bow. The concert began quietly, with Martinez playing alone, soulfully evoking a calm before the storm. And what a storm: three guitars in intricate partnership, violin and voices soaring as the singers added typically urgent and musical hand clapping and Pouso embodying the music’s vibrant physical presence. Bravo indeed."

"Will was absolutely fabulous, entertaining the guests at the reception venue. The style of music he played was perfect for the occasion, ranging from light classical to smooth Latin and Jazz as well as more upbeat popular melodies. We would not hesitate to use Will again. "

"Che spettacolo! We booked Joe for our italian summer wedding close to Todi - and thanks to him we had the best party of our life! It started with a friendly contact, a well structured planning and every single detail was done with Joes perfectionism. He even visited our location several times for a better planning and helped us with italian bureaucracy. The celebration day itself was great: Joe and his assistant brought professional equipment, everything was perfectly chosen. Last but not least: the party was mindblowing, all guests were dancing till the morning hours and the great atmosphere was not interrupted for a second! Great songs, great beats and perfect timing for more than 5 hours created an unforgettable evening! Joe is definitely recommandable, you can completely trust in his competence! Dear Joe! "We booked Ben to perform at out office Christmas party! He was absolutely awesome! He listened to our requests prior to the night and fulfilled them and more! His variety of songs were perfect - more chilled for arrival then had the dance-floor full with the whole office up singing and dancing later on in the evening! Everyone had such a good night and the feedback we had for Ben was brilliant - everyone loved his 2 sets! We would definitely recommend Ben to anyone who's looking for a singer - turned up on time, looked smart, interacted with us all! The night fell slightly behind due to catering but he kept us all entertained and didn't complain about the change in timings! If we arrange our own Christmas party again next year - Ben is top of the list for booking! I'll also definitely be recommending him to any friends and family that are looking for a singer for future events! Thanks again for an awesome evening! (10 / 10)"

"Me and my wife were very excited to have this excellent group play for our event held here in Boerne tx the music was exactly Gipsy Kings we are putting together another event/festival for this #1 group they come from France we will pay again for this group one of the members stays in San Antonio and we are excited to have the whole group here again the mayor of Boerne was very impressed by this group and we are going to definitely move forward with more projects with Gipsyland love these Guys."
