Review Centre: Wedding DJs

"My partner Phil and I met at work and our first ever conversation was about music. Over the years, and to this day, music has played a central role in our lives as a couple. From going to gigs, to blasting tunes while working at home, or anticipating new album releases from our favourite artists, music is at the core of who we are as people. When Phil proposed we knew we wanted an amazing live band for our wedding, that reflected our taste and would bring the party. It couldn't just be *any* function band - they had to have soul. After doing hours of research looking for an RnB band, we found Mark. Boy did him and the band come correct! We had 2 sets with the 7 piece band, one motown set and one rnb set, followed by their DJ who curated a real party playlist, moving through hip hop, grime, garage and more. So many of our guests said the band was the best they'd heard at a wedding. We danced into the night and had the best day of our lives. Thank you to you and the band for being so damn amazing! We didn't expect that the band would learn a song to play as our first dance. We requested Outstanding by The GAP Band and they performed it down to a t. Just incredible"

"No words I write can do these guys justice as to just how amazing they are. The Hound dogs played at our wedding and EVERYONE loved them. The band had everyone up dancing and singing along. Nigel was fantastic, it was all very easy booking the band and selecting what songs we liked. We also used them to DJ after the band had finished playing, again, all our favourite songs were played and everyone was up dancing. We had the pleasure of having Nigel play at a 30th a few years ago and having him and the band play at our wedding was just fantastic. They sounded and looked amazing and were lovely to talk to. The band left everyone wanting more and they were only too happy to oblige when everyone chanted for 'one more song'. Thanks again for being part of our day ❤️"

"I recently hired Jesse as the DJ for my 40th birthday celebration, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! From the very beginning, Jesse's communication was prompt and professional, making the planning process a breeze. He took the time to understand my music preferences and created an amazing atmosphere that kept the energy high all night. Many of my guests commented on how great the music was! I highly recommend Jesse for any event—he truly knows how to get the party started!"

"We had so much fun at our wedding! DJ Maurice and his crew did exactly what we asked and then some! We wanted a party atmosphere, but still intimate at the same time and they truly delivered. They were so professional, polite, and just wanted to make sure my wife and I were GOOD! DJ Maurice even offered to get us a drink before our reception grand entrance! Before the wedding, we had a phone call about everything from our playlist, itinerary, etc. He made sure to go over every single detail with us and asked questions to things we hadn’t even thought of. I really enjoyed his professionalism and service! We also booked the 360 video booth, sparklers, dancing on cloud, and everything was on point! The sparklers went off multiple times throughout the night and his 360 set up was the best I’d ever seen! There was a red carpet, ropes, additional lighting. It was a hit with our wedding guests. 6 months later and our guests are STILL talking about our wedding! Any party from here on out, this is my go to guy!"

"Amazing musicians! Variety of music styles and songs. We hired Emil with his band for our Corporate event and they were a huge hit! Everyone was up on their feet dancing along the whole night. Incredibly nice and such a pleasure to work with them! Emil made sure the playlist targeted our whole audience and sounded awesome. I would definitely recommend them for any and all events and hope to work with them again!"

"At the last minute my original dj canceled… I was distressed and stressed… luckily Rick McMullin responded to my desperate plea on Facebook and connected me with Dan. It was truly a blessing in disguise. These two worked tirelessly to coordinate our wedding at the very last minute and I hardly have the words to describe how incredible they were. Dan is hands down the most energetic, passionate fun loving dj on this earth. He was not only our dj but took the role of wedding organizer as well. Our day was spectacular and that’s 110% due to Dan’s passion for his work, and absolute love of the couples he works for. I would hire him 100 times over if I could. He made even the most timid of dancers break out their dancing shoes and let loose! PLEASE if you need a DJ for your wedding, I cannot recommend Dan or Rick from ABC Disc Jockey enough. They saved the most important day of my husband and my life."

"I have worked with DJ WeekN 3 times over the last 2 years. They do an outstanding job of reading the crowd and making sure the music is fun! Branden will even teach the crowd some fun dances! Also, their lights are amazing! You will NOT be disappointed!!"
