Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"BEST BAND EVER!! We had The Lucky Saints play in the evening at our wedding at The Cruin last weekend. We appreciated their communication before the big day so much for making us feel so at ease and they arrived in plenty of time on the night. Other than our first dance and a few common requests, we wanted to leave them to do their thing - and boy did they deliver! They unexpectedly started (after our first dance) with a Gay Gordons ceilidh dance which was a surprise and really turned out to be the best way to start the evening - getting everybody up onto the dancefloor and having a laugh! They then moved seamlessly on to indie anthems, classic pop tunes and dancefloor fillers - they always knew what to play next to keep everyone on their feet. All tied up with a beautiful rendition of Loch Lomond to finish the night. The dancefloor was filled the whole evening and our guests kept commenting on how great the band were - particularly the beautiful female vocals and their ability to perform such a range so well. They even gifted us a bottle of "The Lucky Saints" branded bubbly to top it off! Thanks so much for giving us the best party on our special day!! True professionals and such a lovely group, we would highly recommend!"

"We had a destination wedding in Barcelona and were looking for a cool band to entertain our guests during the reception, before the ceremony, and at cocktails, they did a great job! They have an international repertoire of pop music and some light jazz at the welcoming. I totally recommend them, if you're getting married in Barcelona you can count on them! Albert"

"“The Weegie Beats played at the drinks reception/meal of my wedding and they were absolutely amazing! The variety of songs was great and there was something for everyone. Many people commented on how good they were and the staff at the venue even said it was the best atmosphere they had experienced at the meal and the band played a huge part in this. "WOW - we had SO MANY guests come up to us during and after the party, to compliment the wonderful Ginny. She was an absolute dream and took on all of our sound, lighting, set list requirements on the night. Providing a PA system for our speech, Ginny was extremely accommodating throughout - she was amazing. The only negative, was that we were too busy to actually sit down and appreciate all Ginny's hardwork. We can thoroughly recommend her, a very professional and courteous addition to any event. We will be requiring her services again, should the need arise, without a doubt."

His range of selection and style is vast and his voice and guitar playing are at a master level. His three decades of performance experience definitely show. "Just a quick note to thank you to you and the band for all your work towards Saturday evening at Chawton Ball. You were prompt and flexible, particularly when our start timings shifted a bit! As I mentioned, there was quite a bit at stake and usual high expectations from the band – and you definitely pulled it off: the dance floor was fit to burst and everyone begged for more! Thanks for creating a playlist for us, too and patiently dealing with the quirks of working with volunteers. Overall the evening was a success (and that’s a huge relief!)."

"What a great find!!!! Ben was amazing. Firstly prior to the event, communication with Ben either via email or text messages was very good and we found him to be very efficient. He emailed us his play list in advance so that we could select certain music to suit our taste. He arrived in very good time to set up. All he needed was a small corner of our room and a plug socket. He played from the start of our party to the very end and more!! The choice of music suited all tastes and a wide age range (guests were from 19 years to 86 years!) He played background music whilst our guests were eating then for the latter part of our party he changed the tempo and had practically everyone up and dancing for ages! He also took requests and we loved singing along. He certainly contributed to the atmosphere and fun factor and together with our guests we had an amazing night to remember. I would definitely recommend him. "
