Review Centre: 1930s Era Musicians & Bands

"Looking round at the audience I noticed most were tapping their feet or bobbing their head to the trio’s first number! Expert rhythm guitar, clean and swift lead and the all important swing of the bass saw several dancers on the small wooden floored area trying to keep up with the fast rhythm. Classics like Caravan and Limehouse Blues had the diners applauding appreciatively. Two hours of music, with a short break to let your feet have a rest the band finished with a flawless rendition of Sweet Georgia Brown. Sadly the evening was over for the music, but I was assured they will return, and I shall be there again giving support for these talented men!!"

"Matthew, what can I say about the band. Firstly, everyone at the party has commented on the amazing atmosphere you all created from the moment you stepped onto the stage. I knew that you would be good as obviously I had watched your performances on your site, but what I wasn’t prepared for was the utter joy that your performance would give to everyone who was there including the staff at the hotel! The music choices were perfect, the vocals and commentary perfect and the feeling that I couldn’t have booked anyone better a delight. I know my father really enjoyed his night and has sung your praises far and wide. You all made the night truly fabulous and I cannot thank you enough for it. I hope to book you all again for future functions and obviously will let everyone know just how incredible your band is. Once again please give my thanks to the whole band, they were absolutely amazing."

"Good Co made our outdoor August wedding so magical. They were incredibly easy going and communicative and learned a couple request songs for us. They were great at reading the room, playing more subdued songs when people were eating and talking, and a great variety of more danceable songs towards the end of the evening. They even played the Hora on the spot when a Jewish relative of mine requested it. Guests were abuzz about how great the music was, and neighbors (we had a backyard wedding) who overheard sent notes about how much they loved the music. They were also very patient with some power issues that arose midway through dinner (and even kept playing for us!)"

"Harmony In Harlem performed at our wedding at the Plaisterers' Hall on London Wall in 2012. We thought that the band was fantastic - our guests loved it and at least one said it was the best music they have ever heard at a function - I certainly thought so!"

"A long sing with a great pianist and attention to detail ie well balanced sound. The songs were gorgeous - some favourite anthems and some more obscure but well chosen classics. Lucienne’s gentle humour made us feel comfortable. She invited people to dance and occasionally sing along. A warm and fun afternoon to remember."

"Lorraine and the Flames are hands down one of the best groups I've heard in a long time. We were hosting an outdoor Jazz and BBQ evening and the guys couldn't have been more amazing! The music was perfect and Lorraine's voice is sublime. They set the atmosphere and mood from the moment they started, and so many of our guests commented on how wonderful they were. "Thank you so much for setting the mood so perfectly for our wedding day and the reception after the ceremony. It was everything we hoped for. The band started playing just as we left the altar and it immediatly set the mood to a fun and relaxed but super classy afternoon. The guys followed us discretely and got people (including us) dancing during reception, so even before the offical dancing started :). They read the crowd so well and were the perfect choice for our garden wedding! You were so kind and super professional at all times and we could not have asked for more. We would definetly have you again! Thank you for being part of our special day!"
