Inspired by jazz greats such as Django Reinhardt and Ella Fitzgerald, gypsy swing band Amuse Manouche’s hot club sound evokes a relaxed or lively mood, perfect for mingling at drinks receptions and garden parties, with an option to increase the band size for evening dancing. We will tailor the perfect set for you to evoke the mood you're after, but please let us know if there are any songs that you would like to hear in particular.

Requirements: 2 x 3m stage for up to 4 piece, one power supply, 2 x armless chairs, suitable cover if outside. We also require 1-2 parking spaces for band sizes up to 4 piece.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. An emergency phone contact for the day is required.
We bring our own sound equipment.
Yes, we're happy to play music between our sets. We can choose appropriate music or let the client choose the music. Just let us know if this is a service you require.
It's hard to choose but we loved playing Shrewsbury Django Fest in 2024 alongside some of the finest Gypsy Jazz musicians in the world. We also loved playing to a sold-out Upstairs at Ronnie Scotts in March the same year.
We love all kinds of events but we have a soft spot for garden parties and wedding receptions. People always say how much they enjoy the musicianship and the atmosphere we provide.
We came together after a good few years working in the Brighton jazz scene, bonding over a shared love of Django Reinhardt's music. Since then we've played hundreds of weddings, parties and corporate events, as well as festivals and ticketed venues.
We're most influenced by Django Reinhardt - his interpretation of the Great American Songbooks as well as his unique and sophisticated style of guitar playing. In addition, Ella Fitzgerald and Anita O'Day's highly rhythmic and joyous singing styles are a huge influence.
Set up is very quick. We allow 30 mins but we can do it in a lot less time. We normally perform 2 x 50 min sets.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade/suitable rain cover, a dry, flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We will usually tailor the list to the occasion but we are willing to include any particular tunes if they're on our list. If you have any specific requests we can learn these but we usually limit this to a couple of songs. If you'd like us to learn more let us know and we'll include this in the quote.
Our drinks reception clients comment on the atmosphere we set - they love that we are not too intrusive but set a sophisticated and laid back atmosphere perfect for mingling. When we get the party going in a more lively environment people comment on how exciting the music is and how happy it makes them feel.
