Review Centre: Wedding Musicians

"Lina Peters was recommended to me by the Hanns Eisler School of Music for a jazz evening, and it proved to be a wonderful highlight in our event program at the Pro Seniore retirement residence on Kurfürstendamm. She performed with her colleague Johannes Gehlmann on guitar. Lina Peters, who proved herself an excellent saxophonist, also sensitively held back, allowing everyone the necessary space to fully express themselves. Her musical talent was clearly in her blood, as her father is also a renowned saxophonist. Her joy in the music shone through in every moment of the evening. While the saxophone is traditionally a male-dominated instrument, Lina Peters demonstrated that this stereotype is a thing of the past. Wonderful jazz moments – feeling and beautiful, both resonant and swinging, soft tones that completely captivated our elderly residents. Furthermore, Lina Peters has a captivating stage presence. "Amazing wedding bagpipes Stephen’s performance on the pipes was perfect! He helped me create the perfect moment walking down the aisle arm in arm with my dad on my wedding day, a moment I’ve dreamed about my whole life. Many people came up to my husband and I after the reception and remarked how good the pipes sounded. Stephen was great to work with throughout the entire process as he provided skype sessions for us to work out which pieces he would play. The pipes were a unique and touching aspect of my wedding ceremony that I will never forget. Thank you Stephen! Natalie Herrera"

"We needed a band to suit ages from Uni graduates to wedding guests from 30yrs ago. The Cheers were amazing, all ages are still talking about them now! We had a marquee, stage, suitable electrics and dance floor, and wow, did they made the party rock. Ben was great with communication, very professionally documented and clear about their needs which was all reassuring. We booked well in advance... and so pleased that we did as it was fantastic! If only we could have more reasons for parties."

"Elise is currently the Associate Soloist with the Sheffield-based Escafeld Chorale, and has already made a fantastic contribution to the choir. Her recent solo work in Holst's Christmas Day was a wonderful addition to our Christmas concert, with her pure tone and assured projection. Elise also provides wonderful support for the other singers around her, and overall is a great asset for us in Escafeld. We look forward to working more with her!"

"We cannot express how grateful we are to the band for being there on our special wedding day! At our drinks reception they performed so appropriately and the music was a perfect addition to our wedding drinks and canapés out on the lawn. During our evening reception the band really helped to get the party started and get our guests up dancing. They asked us beforehand what songs we would like and they were all performed so fantastically! Everyone was so complimentary of them and I cannot recommended them any more highly! It must also be said how kind the band members were too, congratulating us on our day and checking in with us that everything was going ok. Thank you so so much!"

"wedding at Areias Do Seixo Hotel, A Dos Cunhados E Maceira, Portugal “WOW, what a band! We were really looking for a group to bring the party to our wedding dance floor and they did just that. They played a party/funk 2 hour set that had our dance floor full from the first to the last song. We loved how they would dance and sing through the crowd. If anyone else is looking for a party kickstarting band, we would put these guys at the very top of our list! 10/10 well worth every penny."

"Madhu played at my sisters hen party and was amazing. She is so energetic and friendly and really gets everyone going! She moves around the room and gets everyone involved. Her music is great and she is talented! We asked for Ibiza music and she couldn’t of got it better! Thank you so much! Would definitely recommend x"
