"James was so terrific that words don’t give him justice! His performance blew the guests (Naval Officers and High Ranking friends) of my father Admiral James "Ace" Lyons' 90th birthday party away! He sang very special songs that brought back very found memories of the past locations where we lived around the world! James was absolutely wonderful and accommodated everything I had ask and dreamed of. Lastly, James' rendition of ‘My Way” brought tears to everybody's eyes! It was better than Frank Sinatra's and just an unbelievable fantastic evening that none of us will ever forget! Thank you so much!! Michele Lyons"

"For our 25th anniversary, my wife wanted something memorable but intimate, just thirty guests at a restaurant in El Born. I was sceptical that live music would work in such a small space, but I was completely wrong. The performance was elegant, perfectly judged in volume, and brought a warmth to the evening that I genuinely don’t think any other element could have provided. My wife cried during one song. "Wow! So much fun! Everyone needs more friends like this! Soaring lead vocals with spine tingling harmonies paired with melting lead guitar, keys and to top it all off groove inducing bass and drums. Rent a Friend Band is the whole package and provides something for everyone, with a set list curated from all your favorite hits spanning multiple generations! These fun loving professional musicians are a pleasure to work with. They had our venue popping and we can't wait to have them back."

"We could not have asked for a better band for our wedding- they were truly awesome!! Everyone was amazed by their voices and entertainment- we had lots of guests compliment them. They really kept the party going! They were also very accommodating (they had to learn the song for our first dance) and very easy/friendly to work with. Would definitely use them again, and can only recommend to anyone else!! "

"I invited Ted to play “Italian Bistro/ French Café” music during the cocktail hour of our wedding. His playing made the atmosphere very magical and jovial. It was exactly what I was hoping for and would recommend him highly. His playing and set list really added to the party without his sound overpowering. He was extremely professional and easy to communicate with. Ten stars! "

"Amazing job by Derrick, he played at my wedding and I was blown away by his professionalism and his understanding and willing to work around a hectic schedule. Not only did he play the saxophone amazingly he brought multiply music supplies for my other musicians I had playing for the ceremony. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. I definitely will reach out for future music gigs ! Thanks again Derrick !"
