Yesterday I got fed both spiritually and materially at Soweto’s Just Badela eatery when I attended a heart-warming joint jazz presentation by Just Badela & ‘EXPRESSIONS by Siphiwe Mhlambi’ – the latter is an event series that capture the soul of jazz through Mhlambi’s evocative photography that blends rhythm and emotion into his every frame. I can right now without any whiff of doubt declare that the event lived up to its brand promise of delivering “an unforgettable afternoon with the legendary Herbie Tsoaeli, the master of double bass and a pioneer in South African jazz” to a full-house sit-down audience. (Indeed I) experience(d) the soul-stirring melodies and rich rhythms that have captured audiences around the world.” Nico Phooko was drawing inspiration from the music and the soul-caressing ambience by live painting a piece that will become a new addition to his “Notes & Strokes” series. The MC was Ngwako Malakalaka from Kofifi FM. We had the opportunity to witness Mhlambi autographing copies of our recently published book, “Rhythms in Black & White: A Virtual Journey Through the World of Jazz”, to happy revellers. Another illustrious author/publisher, Sam Mathe, manned a table selling his book too, “From Kippie to Kippies And Beyond”, on whose pages live our musicians. We do appreciate the platform that Just Badela provides to independent publishing and art . "

"Awesome 50th birthday bash Doug and his steel drum was great for my husbands 50th birthday party last night. Everyone raved about the unique touch it added. We put tarps up to protect Doug and his equipment from the rain and it all went off without a hitch! Let me know how I can upload a video from the party.. Andrea"

"Jeff Steinberg’s performance and presentation and message makes us realize that we limit our abilities through our beliefs and we create barriers as to what we can and can’t do. Jeff’s message was both inspirational and motivational. The audience was mesmerized by Jeff’s ability to perform and touch people’s lives in a way that has folks saying, ”If he can do what he does with his disabilities, I can accomplish more with my my abilities and opportunities.” He is a true “Masterpiece in Progress” but most importantly, Jeff has a unique ability to inspire others that they too, are a “Masterpiece in Progress!!"

" I recently hired Linda Googh for a private event at my dance studio celebrating our winter break, and I could not be happier with the entire experience! From the very first inquiry Linda was professional, responsive and accommodating. She insured smooth and stress free booking process. "10 Stars! Dazzling and magical… Mystica is an incredible talent - so congenial, adaptable, and an absolute delight to work with. We loved having her perform at our Beltane event where she was the highlight and closing act. Everything about her performance, from costuming to music to dancing, was executed perfectly. "I was terrified of trying this class - I'm older than I expected to be and I have been halfhearted in workouts for years - but Kat was GREAT! She has an amazing way of being really educational and supportive while also not letting you slack off on your positioning. Her classes are beautifully structured so that you start easy and move toward more challenging work, all the while to great tunes. I know more about how my body works and moves and it's been amazing. I'm more limber, my body is more streamlined and I am hooked on Kat's class. She's super-patient with all my questions and always has time to help. I strongly, strongly recommend!"
