"We were immediately drawn to the band because their image and sound matched exactly to what we were after – a bit of a nod to the 1920s but with a mix of modern too. We had a few song requests that were definitely from the more modern side of things (Air, Tame Impala) and they managed to translate these perfectly into their signature style, I can be quite hard to impress when it comes to live music and they really just blew me away. In terms of liaising with them before and on the day they were a dream, I'd look to book them again if I ever had the need and would highly recommend anyone else interested in them to do the same."

"Thanks for last Saturday evening. I have had quite a lot of feedback and it has all been really good. Most people really enjoyed the music and felt it was just the right balance during the meal and when we were dancing as they were still able to chat if they wanted to. All in all a success! "Julian played the guitar at our wedding ceremony in Port-Vendres, France, and catered to our every need, from playing Latin music as guests arrived, to accompanying a family friend who sang on the day. He arrived early to set up and rehearse, and was very professional. From our very first interaction, Julian was so responsive and easy to deal with. He shared recordings of the songs in advance of the ceremony which was much appreciated. As we were organising the wedding from Ireland, it was great to be able to place our trust in Julian and rely on him for our special day. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed Julian’s music and I would highly recommend him to anyone planning an event! "

"I'm so glad I found Black Tie Optional Band in Portugal! We are big country music fans and had our wedding in Braga this past fall. Black Tie Optional Band rocked the house! Our guests were absolutely thrilled to have pop/country music to dance to. Nicole is so easy to work with and worked with us over several months to make sure our song list was perfect.
