"Rating 5/6 : Very Enjoyable Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "Fiora performed a lovely and transfixing fire spinning show for the non-profit Sunday Assembly San Diego's annual secular winter solstice party a few days ago and we are so appreciative. The feedback we got from the audience was fantastic, and you know it went well when the manager of the venue gushed about it! In the booking and planning process, Fiora was responsive and prompt, thoughtful and professional. She adjusted her routine to adapt to our time and music preferences, and knocked it out of the park. Thanks, Fiora!"

"Greg was a great Elvis. Greg's voice and performance was right on. He was wonderful and easy to work with. He let me pick the songs, their order and his outfit. Greg was able to conform to my particular setting and helped me troubleshoot the audio logistics. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and wants to be true to Elvis. If you want an Elvis at your party, you want Greg."

"I came across Alkka and Chris’ website when I was looking for someone to perform at my wedding. After meeting them and hearing more of their work, I had to book them! They performed the song that I walked down the aisle to and also had a set later on in the day when our evening guests were arriving. I couldn’t imagine our day being as special as it was without these two. I cannot recommend them enough…it also helps that they are the loveliest people you will ever meet! We always recommend them to friends and family and they will always be who we book for any future events! "

"Brice came to play acoustic guitar for an outdoor company event. He exceeded our expectations, and he was one of the kindest people we've ever met. We definitely recommend him, and would hire him again if we do another event in the area."

What really made it special was how you involved yourself with everyone and got the crowd engaged — it created such a great atmosphere. Everyone at the party commented on how good you were and how much they enjoyed the music. You really helped make the night unforgettable. Thanks again, Shake. We really appreciate it!"

"The "Rockin Roads Band" is the best band to see in person in NWA. They play great dancing music and are super entertainment. They go above and beyond to make their audience is having a great time. They play well over 200 songs and are happy to take requests. Friendly, outgoing and just plain great people. We ALWAYS have a great time at their shows. Recommend getting reservations, as they have a big following."

"Warmly Recommended This is the second time I am organizing a company party with life music from “Jazz Centrale”. The first it was a Jazz quartet with Bossa Nova singer Agnes and this time it was a Jazz Quartet with Jazz Singer SaraLee. Both were equally great. Warmly recommended not only for quality of the music but also for the smoothness of the organization. "

"The Aday2Remember package was perfect for us with timeless photos and flawless music coverage with beautiful lighting. Instead of juggling multiple vendors, we had one team who worked together seamlessly, and honestly, it ended up being more budget-friendly too. Such a smart choice, especially for a destination wedding like ours. Thanks 🙏 for being a vital part of our celebration!"
