"Una festa da non dimenticare Io e Giuseppe avevamo già ascoltato i Retrofive ad un matrimonio di nostri amici. Non avevamo dubbi che sarebbe stato il gruppo del nostro. Il ricevimento è stato molto allegro e il gruppo è stato capace di far ballare e coinvolgere anche i più “anziani” delle nostre famiglie! È stato un momento davvero felice e divertente per noi. Consiglieremo i Retrofive a chiunque si sposi che ama un tocco vintage, ballare e non prendersi troppo sul serio! I ragazzi sono stati professionali, simpatici e molto disponibili. Sia prima che durante il ricevimento."

"Friday 24th November 2023 - The Jazz Kings - Tweed Valley Jazz and Blues A superb gig to bring a fitting close to a year of top-flight music. ‘The Jazz Kings’ left us in no doubt why they are currently rated among the top outfits on the North Coast. Each of them – Nicole Parker-Brown on vocals, Peter Uppman on vocals and trumpet (sometimes almost at the same time), Gordon Matheson on guitar, Col Atkinson on bass and yet more vocals, and Jose McLaughlin on keyboards – is an accomplished performer in their own right, and in combination they are a musical powerhouse to be reckoned with. It was an evening of eclectic mix, from popular jazz standards, through blues arrangements that will be appearing on their latest album, to occasional dips into the classical realms, and a few nostalgic ‘pop’ reminiscences. Among the favourites were their own arrangements of evergreens such as ‘Night and Day,’ ‘All Of Me’, ‘Misty’, ‘Georgia On My Mind’ and ‘Making Whoopee’. Jose even gave a nod towards his earlier career as keyboard player and musical director of ‘Gerry and the Pacemakers’ with his updated arrangements of ‘Ferry Cross the Mersey’ and ‘Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying’. All in all, a great end to 2023, and the Club Committee took time at the end to wish all members and visitors a happy and safe Xmas and a prosperous New Year. If it promises music of the same quality as this past year, then we’ll have no complaints."

"Sol Chango were such an amazing band to have at our wedding. We booked them for our wedding cocktail and they provided a fantastic yet understated atmosphere. We asked them to play more upbeat music for their second set and they delivered a such a great performance. They came highly recommended and we couldn’t have been happier with them. "Thank you once again for making my father’s birthday party such a great success. Having the party on a boat made for slightly more difficult logistics but your professional yet flexible and enthusiastic approach to the situation really helped. On arrival you quickly tuned into the nature and tone of the event and your personality and sense of fun charmed everyone. You play the accordion wonderfully and is the perfect accompaniment to your beautiful voice transporting us all to a timeless Left Bank cafe in Paris. As you know, my father was enchanted by you. He said that you were the absolute highlight of the party. And that’s the first time I can remember dancing with my mum! "

"From start to finish Cara has been truly amazing. She jumped on board with my unconventional party with enthusiasm, professionalism and with a sense of caring about why we were having the party. She had a willingness to learn some songs which have meaning to the family.. and doing so at short notice. As for her performance, she has an incredible voice which the guests were talking about for ages after she had finished her set. I would highly recommend Cara and will definitely being after her to play one of our parties again. "
