Review Centre: Singing Guitarists

"I must be honest I had never been involved in finding and/or booking a band for an event, so this was a first for me - and it was my dad's 60th so I really wanted something special. Joubert and his wife (who seemed to be in charge of the Sound Engineering side of things) were very accommodating and there were little-no issues. The sound quality was great - his voice is great - and no request seemed too much to ask (they did everything with a smile on their faces). We tried to give as many song requests to them at least a week before the time as possible - and they seemed very appreciative of that. They did go the extra mile in the sense that the party actually only seemed to kick off when they were supposed to wind things up - but they volunteered to stay for longer just before my dad asked me if they could, and so they did. The event turned out to be a big success and I wanted to thank Joubert and Juanita for the vibe they injected into a special day for us as a family. Dankie julle"

"Davina did a great job at creating the right atmosphere for us and our guests, relaxed and yet entertaining and charming. We really appreciated her care for details and her fast communication - she is totally independent in what she does from the beginning to the end of the event. "Lovely to have Jahangir as a house musician for a dinner we hosted recently. The choice of music was perfect for a calm evening and since we had a piano, he even played some tunes from Abba for us which everyone enjoyed! "

"Kei is a great performer ! Exceeded all expectations for a Latin / bachata / salsa show at my birthday. His own songs were and the English covers were also a hit. Communication was great from the beginning too and we were able to tailor the show to my taste. "

I found Dominic Holmes and listened to some of his music, he sang a variety of different songs and I really liked his voice. "Outstanding Music! Ayden and company did a truly phenomenal job of providing the music for our wedding! Ayden helped us right from the get-go to understand and organize the arrangement, the timings, and the logistics for the ceremony music where he and his guitarist accompaniment played gorgeous renditions of "All of Me" and "The Scientist" with additional music just afterward. They then went on to do a fantastic job down at the Reception site where Ayden himself sang a most beautiful "Let it Be Me" for our first dance. He and his band continued to play on through the night, I think for about three hours. Ayden and his band set an intoxicating tone of seemingly endless celtic and contemporary music, done with violin, voice, and strings. It melded like nothing else could with the tranquil night, the cafe lights, and wonderful company. Everything was so memorable and Ayden's music really set that off! He was also easy to work with, accommodating, informative, and well priced. We are forever appreciative and highly recommend him for anyone looking for that perfect, celtic sound for their own wedding. "

"We have loved Gillian for so many years in Brooklyn. Then she moved out of the country. Last time she visited Brooklyn I decided to make her the big surprise for my husband’s birthday party. It was just Gillian and her guitar and it was perfect. We cry we laughed and we danced. She is top shelf this one."

"We had Lucinda and Laurice (piano accompaniment on select songs) playing at our wedding and it was amazing! They brought so much atmosphere to the ceremony with their lovely tunes. They even had rehearsed a request-song which was definitely not the easiest to play. From the moment we had reached out to Lucinda it all felt very good and correct, the communication was great and very clear. All and all we can only recommend Lucinda and Laurice, and I hope many will follow for an amazing wedding. Thank you very much! 🎼🎹"

"Made the night. We had about 60 people for a couple's shower for our son and future daughter in law. Hosted at a local home in Nashvillle. Dylan was fantastic. Excellent communication prior to our event. Punctual. Incredibly kind and accommodating. All this and just a ridiculously talented musician. Elevated the event...taking it from super great to perfect."
