"Candy & the Sound were our absolutely brilliant wedding band. The dancefloor was full from start to finish, they put up with repeated requests of 'one more song', and they did the most amazing rendition of our first dance. Plus we got a fun little video afterwards, a complete surprise and such a lovely thing to watch after the wedding! Thank you xxx"

"We hired Toby for an informal 18th birthday party in our garden. He was excellent, even learning a few new songs in advance to please the birthday girl. He was exactly the right person for this kind of event, nice and chilled but very talented. Highly recommend Toby to anyone wanted a guitarist/singer for an event."

Vom ersten Moment an überzeugte er durch Seriosität, Engagement und große Aufmerksamkeit für unsere Wünsche. "Saw them at the Woodman’s in Gorfeild, absolutely fantastic. The front of house sound was great balanced clear and crisp, the mic’d bass drum cut through really well but never overpowered. The bass player had some static buzz which bothered him but could not be heard when they played, the venue was not overcrowded, while this would have been disappointing for the band it allowed me to see and hear them & that suited me fine. Played a wide range of blues from all its sub genres just think BB King to ZZ Top so something for everyone even those that don’t know they like the blues. The lead guitar was very good and his bottleneck side was outstanding the vocal styles of the bass player and the guitarist are very different but work well together and give a variety that is often missing. The beauty of live performance is the nuance of venue acoustics and atmosphere which makes every performance different (keeps it interesting for the band) a couple of the numbers may need a little more work on the vocals but when they got it right as they did most of the time it was like listening to a studio recording with all of the backroom mixing and editing in place. I look forward to seeing them again and can highly recommend."

Thankyou for the good review Sparky! As it happens we were approached at our gig last night in Holbeach November 2nd 2025 who also attended the same gig at Gorefield and she is one of quite a few followers we have in that area!
