Review Centre: Motown Bands

"As musicians ourselves, we thought finding the perfect music to accompany our wedding in Tuscany would be difficult. However Blue Moon Jazz quickly set us at ease. After being impressed with their sound on video, we managed to organise seeing the band instrumentally at a nearby venue they were playing whilst visiting our venue. They were so friendly and happy to let us come along for a live listen. They sounded even better in real life! Pianist and band leader Raphael was informative and communicative throughout our planning process. Their musicianship and talent is top notch and they sounded amazing during our ceremony, aperitif and party. The guests all commented on how great they sounded and how much they enjoyed dancing and singing along. The vocals and each instrument were played to perfection. I cannot recommend them enough. To top it off Blue Moon let us play a song with them on the wedding night! Thank you Raphael, Bernardo, Paolo & Nanà, you were awesome! "

"We were delighted with Raphael and the Blue Moon Jazz Band who provided a wonderful soundtrack for our wedding reception at the Hotel Kolbe in Rome less than two weeks ago. The band played during the aperitivo and then again after dinner when they were joined by their fantastic singer. We loved their sound and wished they could have played longer. As one of my dearest friends said, whose brother is a jazz musician, when the band was playing it was more like being at a concert than “only” listening to background music. Raphael was always very prompt in all his replies and as kind and considerate as possible, while the musicians as a whole, including the singer, impressed us all with the quality of their sound. All our guests remarked on how wonderful the band was, including our younger guests who greatly enjoyed dancing away at jazz pieces they would not normally listen to, as well as the jazz buffs amongst us of which there were many. We would not hesitate to contact the band again for future events and therefore would also wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone else! Thank you for a beautiful jazzy evening… Enrica and Rombout"

"We absolutely loved having Jem Ellow Band at our wedding in Tuscany, vicchio. The band were amazing! There variety of music is excellent! So professional an had great communication as we booked from England for them to join us. They were all so friendly and even let some of our guest join in with playing there instruments. Cannot recommend this band enough!! Was a pleasure to have you join us on our big day! "

"Fabulous band. Amazing selection of music and got everyone up on dancefloor. Great musicians and singers. And accommodating - we didn't start until much later than predicted but they were able to flex the timings. Great organisation by Ben in advance meant that all the logistics went very smoothly. I would highly recommend and use again!"

"This band ROCKED! Not only would I recommend having a band instead of a DJ, in general...definitely use Swiftkick. Thom, the lead singer has an amazing voice. He played acoustically for both my ceremony and cocktail hour as well. My guests were so impressed and we danced all night long. Even people who I thought would not dance, were up rocking out. Swiftkick made my wedding. It would have been no where near as fun if not for them. I would definitely recommend using them for any event....from weddings to holiday parties and everything in between"

"I contacted Chris about 8 months before we got married because when we watched their videos and read their reviews we knew they absolutely had to be the band for our reception. For the months before the wedding Chris was so kind and generous with his time and expertise and he answered hundreds of our questions without a hint of complaint! The band were incredibly popular with all our guests, so many of them remarking how wonderful the band were. Their versatility on stage was brilliant – they covered musical tastes from the past 60 years and all of it had people excited for more. Just so happy that we found Chris and The Vibrations, you’d be a fool not to book them!"

"Ant was the perfect choice for singing at our wedding; he is a very talented musician and song writer. We wanted someone that would really make the day personal to us, someone that was easy to work with and whose music everyone would enjoy. He was able to work all the music we requested into our ceremony seamlessly, was very professional, and he made us feel at ease and that everything was in hand. I could not recommend him enough to someone who is looking for a personal touch to their wedding. Thank you so much Anthony! "

"The Grade attended my 21st garden party! Without these the party would have not been nowhere near as good! They were fantastic and everyone enjoyed! I highly recommend this band for any event - they are extremely friendly and very entertaining! Very affordable also! Joy Frances ***** "

"Ant was absolutely fantastic. Aside from being a very talented singer and musician; he is incredibly, polite, versatile and overall lovely. He had fantastic communication, we spoke on video before the wedding, emailed and whatsapp’d, he’s very responsive. We discussed song choices and he was very receptive to the specific songs we wanted, including learning to play some new ones. Ant took the initiative on our wedding day, setting himself up and started, before we arrived, for our guests. He was able to be flexible when our timings changed on the day (we had an outside wedding in the UK… It rained when we were supposed to be walking down the aisle still went great, don’t worry). He ran across the field and played without his equipment for the ceremony when we had a break in the rain. We would defiantly recommend him and 100% hire him again for any other musician needs we may have!"
