Photo of La Dolce Vita Swing Collective La Dolce Vita Swing Collective "Not knowing what to expect I was ready for anything on a warm September night in Edinburgh. This was a Sunday night too and the setting was complete in the nightclub atmosphere that is the Dirty Martini lounge. This band can swing, bass and drums groove sweetly while sax and piano trade solos making this a full sound like there are more on stage. Tony Delicata on vocals blends his Italian roots with Volare, On An Evening In Roma and O Solo Mio as we were escorted to warm Italy with cool sounds and cocktails to suit. The second half opened with I Wish I Knew, an instrumental from the days when Cinema was a TV series before Tony returned with more signature arrangements. By now the audience were itching to dance and with peaks like Mack The Knife and (Theme From) New York New York they were at one with the band. The closing title song was a creative masterstroke and a deserved ovation followed." Your music was brilliant, got everyone up dancing and I can’t tell you how many people told me afterwards ‘how brilliant the 1920s band were’. As soon as you played your first song I knew we’d struck gold! It couldn’t have been more perfect given the whole Gatsby theme and everyone so dressed up, so thank you all so much. You may be interested to know that we raised an astonishing £7,000 on the night! With just 96 people in the room…amazing! Thanks again Matthew and I’ll not hesitate to recommend you if anyone should ask me for a fabulous 20’s Jazz Band!" Words can’t describe! We hired the NQBB for our wedding back in October and we think it was the best wedding decision we made! Will was super through all stages of the process, from enquiries before booking, through to set list selections and sorting out logistics, he was so friendly, with excellent communication and always had time to answer our queries. On the day itself they arrived in plenty of time to set up and you could tell the guests were getting excited for what was to come. It was what we were most looking forward to about the day and it more than exceeded our expectations! What was wonderful was seeing everyone dancing - all the generations. They are such amazing performers and so engaging getting all on the dance floor involved! Our guests are still raving about ‘THE band’ and rightly so! Thank you so much NQBB, you most certainly made the day!" Excellent communication prior to our big day and on the day they were absolutely fantastic - we had so many compliments from our guests! Would recommend whole heartedly! Many thanks from Dave & Kay 22.05.22" Based in Manchester, England (207 miles from Perth) Dave and Kay - Wedding Photo of The Casablanca Steps The Casablanca Steps "Thank you for the fantastic performance which you gave at our wedding on June 6th. To say that you helped the day to go with a swing would be an understatement. Our guests were very taken with you and the atmosphetre of fun which you created continued throughout the weekend. Children and adults alike enjoyed your music and cabaret and we would have no hesitation recommending you to anyone." Based in Manchester, England (207 miles from Perth)
