After Dinner Speakers for Hire in Winterthur

Hire After Dinner Speakers in Winterthur, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland

After dinner speakers in Winterthur, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland work the slot between the meal and the rest of the evening, at conference dinners, awards ceremonies, charity fundraisers and association events. Most speak for 20 to 45 minutes, and many will take questions or stay for photographs afterwards.

What Moves a Speaker's Fee

Rates for after dinner speakers in Winterthur run from CHF80 to CHF2,100+, with most bookings around CHF400. Profile is the single biggest factor: a broadcaster or former international sportsperson sits at the top of that range, while speakers still building a reputation offer the same speaking length for considerably less. Travel, overnight stays and the length of the set also move the figure, so it is worth confirming what a quoted fee covers before comparing two speakers.

Choosing a Subject That Fits the Room

Speakers tend to work within a defined territory: sport, business and leadership, adventure and endurance, broadcasting, or straight comedy. A subject the audience connects with matters more than a familiar name, so it helps to say who is in the room, what the occasion marks and how formal the evening is. Most will shape their material around that brief.

What the Venue Needs to Provide

Requirements are light compared with live music: a microphone, somewhere to stand and a room where the speaker can be heard from every table. A lectern and a screen are useful for anyone working from slides, though many speak without either. It is worth agreeing the running order too, since speaking straight after dessert plays differently from closing an awards ceremony.
