Photo of Ian McCoy Ian McCoy "The Best entertainer in the UK - 5 stars. "If you are thinking of using Ian for your event so not hesitate or waste any more time thinking and reading reviews... Just book him!!! Ian is down to earth whilst completely professional. He's funny, relaxed and looks the part whatever the event requires. Ian absolutely blew us away at our wedding and our guests will not stop talking about him! His close up magic is on another level, real magic! Honestly we were utterly amazed. He entertained the children for hours, and they were hooked. It made people laugh and relax. It brought together different friends and family to break the ice. He did a little stand up with us as bride and groom with mentalism and we still can't work out how on earth he knew what we were thinking!! Book him today"" Based in Wallasey, England 21st September 2026 Ceri Dowdal - wedding Photo of Matt Barber - Close-Up Magician Matt Barber - Close-Up Magician "We booked Matt to perform at our wedding at Hedingham Castle, and he was truly amazing. From our very first meeting, he completely blew us away with his warmth, professionalism, and talent. On the day, he engaged with our guests so beautifully, even where there were language barriers, and everyone loved him. He brought such joy, energy, and magic to our wedding, and we honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect evening." Blew us away with his skillful close up card tricks. The 4 of us were all staring at his hands intent on spotting "how", but over multiple tricks could not spot it. We were very effusive in our enjoyment and praise, it was a surprise and delight to have met Tom and seen his skills. Have banked his details for future corporate events." Based in Brighton, England 21st December 2025 Charlotte - Bohemia- bar Photo of Chasing The Illusion Chasing The Illusion "We recently had the pleasure of experiencing Chase's magic at our Christmas party, and he was absolutely outstanding. His performance was on a completely different level — not just traditional magic, but truly mind-blowing mentalism and touch magic that left us speechless. His ability to read thoughts, predict choices, and reveal personal details with impossible accuracy had the entire room captivated. The mentalism routines were eerie in the best possible way — the kind that makes you look around to check whether someone must be in on it (they weren’t!). But the moment that everyone is still talking about is his touch magic. Feeling a tap on your shoulder or hand without him being anywhere near you is something you can’t fully explain until you experience it. It was surreal, unforgettable, and created that perfect mix of excitement and disbelief. On top of his incredible talent, he was warm, engaging, and effortlessly funny — the type of entertainer who instantly puts people at ease and gets everyone involved without ever making anyone uncomfortable. If you’re looking for entertainment that is unique, astonishing, and memorable long after the event is over, I cannot recommend him highly enough. Truly exceptional." With over 100 guests, he managed to engage everyone with his charming personality and jaw-dropping magic. From close-up tricks to unforgettable moments, like making objects vanish in guests' hands, he had everyone talking. His professionalism, warmth, and talent truly made our day extra special." Based in Leicester, England Arjit Singh - Wedding Event Photo of Martin Wildish Martin Wildish "Martin came to us for daughters 50th birthday party, he was absolutely brilliant, he kept everyone entertained, he went round all the guests doing different magic tricks , I don’t think he repeated the same trick twice, he had us all amazed, we would definitely recommend Martin and will book him again . Frequently asked questions

Hiring illusionists typically costs between £100 and £850+, with an average of £380. The price depends on the performer's experience, show duration and the scale of the illusions. Large-scale stage illusions with elaborate props and equipment tend to cost significantly more than smaller-format performances.

The illusionists specialise in large-scale visual illusions such as making people appear or vanish, levitation, escape acts and other grand effects. While close-up magicians perform at arm's length, illusionists typically perform on stage for larger audiences.

Many clients book illusionists for corporate events, gala dinners, theatre shows, product launches, awards ceremonies and large private celebrations where a headline stage act is needed. Illusionist shows are visually spectacular and work well as a focal point for the evening.

Most illusionists require a stage area, specific lighting, and sometimes rigging or special effects equipment. Space needs vary depending on the illusions being performed. To get the best results, discuss all technical and staging requirements with the illusionist well in advance.

Most illusionists bring their own props, illusion equipment and often their own lighting and sound. For larger venues, coordination with the venue's technical team may be needed. It is advisable to confirm all equipment and access requirements before booking.
