About / Biography

2CV Gypsy Jazz plays authentic Gypsy Jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. Full of swing, our music brings a warm, lively atmosphere to your party, reception, wedding, business opening or garden party.

Our favourite way to make an entrance? Arriving in our Citroën 2CV with the double bass sticking out through the open roof. It gets people smiling before we’ve even played a note!

Our swinging background music sets the mood while leaving your guests free to chat, enjoy a drink and mingle.

Our standard line-up is a trio featuring violin, rhythm guitar and double bass. For a richer sound, larger gatherings or longer performances, we also offer a quartet with violin, lead guitar, rhythm guitar and double bass. Our violinist also sings on around seven songs, adding variety to the performance.
