Piano players near you bring versatility that few other solo musicians can match. A single performer can cover gentle classical pieces for a ceremony, relaxed jazz at a drinks reception and contemporary pop hits for an evening celebration, adapting their style to each part of your event.
The style of music matters most when picking a piano player. Jazz-focused performers lean towards standards and swing, while classically trained pianists excel at formal ceremony repertoire. Many modern piano players blend genres freely, moving between instrumental covers of current chart songs and traditional favorites within the same set. Some also offer vocals, turning a solo piano booking into a full singer-pianist act. If your venue has an in-house piano, let the performer know in advance so they can assess whether to use it or bring their own digital keyboard.
Pianists in Georgia typically charge between $100 and $1,000+, with an average rate of $340. Shorter ceremony-only bookings sit at the lower end, while full-day packages covering multiple parts of a wedding or event cost more. Performance length, travel distance and whether the pianist provides vocals or additional equipment all affect the final price.
The average price for Pianists available in Georgia, United States is $340 (USD). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

"Kenny Kirby [2021] - Playin' The Cracks (Selected Tracks) [Philly Fillet Records]
I came across this artist via DJ Melismo's (aka Mats Olofsson) latest podcast in which he played "Someday We'll All Be Free" (and what a version!), so decided to check out the rest of the album
Kenny Kirby's name may not be well known but he has been performing for over forty years with top acts such as Van Morrison, Charlie Grace, Sly & The Family Stone, Delfonics, Three Degrees, Major Harris, Billy Paul, Intruders, Blue Notes, Soul Survivors and was conductor for The Tymes.
He is a piano player from Birmingham, AL, and released, what looks like, his debut album "Playin' The Cracks" in April. It is mainly covers, smooth jazz, some instrumentals and some quite MOR tunes, but three tracks did get my attention. I'm fairly sure it's not Kenny singing as some of the vocals are female. No one else is credited on the album, so I'm guessing they are unnamed guest vocalists on the vocal tracks.
The three tracks are a cover of Donny Hathaway's "Someday We'll All Be Free", "Some Things Never Change" and "Ultimate Lover" a song written by Linda Creed and Dennis Matkosky."

"Wow, I love it! It’s a wild ride and sometimes it seems to be laughing at the listener… then there are the boats of jazzy pillows that carry you across the rapids. Very cool"
Upstate Strings, LLC
"We were unable to get a violinist that we knew to play at my daughter’s wedding. We had a few recommendations from others and after a lot of searching I stumbled across the site for Up State strings. Jada was wonderful to work with and this was a pretty short notice need. She was great at communicating with me and made it super easy to book her for the wedding. Jada arrived and was set up early. She was very professional and did an outstanding job with the music we requested. Would use her again and highly recommend her and Up State strings. Thank you Jada"
Dusty Knapp
