Frequently asked questions

The average cost of hiring R&B bands is $1,450, with prices from $280 to $6,500+. The main pricing factors are the number of musicians, performance duration and whether the band includes horn players and backing vocalists. Larger R&B line-ups with brass sections and multiple singers typically cost more than stripped-back combos.

The R&B bands perform rhythm and blues, neo-soul, contemporary R&B and classic soul music. Many bands cover hits from artists spanning several decades, from Motown through to modern R&B, creating a smooth and groovy setlist.

Many clients book R&B bands for weddings, corporate parties, birthday celebrations, gala dinners and private functions. R&B music creates a sophisticated yet soulful atmosphere that works for both relaxed dining and energetic dancing.

The R&B bands on Gig Heaven range from small three or four-piece groups to larger ensembles with backing singers and horn sections. A bigger line-up delivers a richer, fuller sound. Many bands offer flexible sizing to suit different events and budgets.

Most R&B bands are self-contained and provide their own PA system, instruments and amplification. For larger events, additional equipment may be required. Gig Heaven recommends confirming technical requirements with the band before booking.
