Saxophone Players for Hire in Norway

Browse 568 saxophonists in Norway, rated 5 out of 5 from 2,122 reviews from real clients. Solo sax players, jazz duos and larger ensembles are available for weddings, parties and corporate events, with most bookings coming in around kr4,300 and shorter ceremony sets costing less.

Availability moves fastest at the top of the calendar: peak-season Saturdays and the December party run get taken first, and a saxophonist covering both a ceremony and an evening set will usually hold the whole date rather than half of it. For a date that is already close, it is worth enquiring with more than one act at a time.

Of the 568 suppliers listed here, 5 are based in Norway. The other 563 are willing to travel there.

A guide to booking

Hire Saxophone Players in Norway

A saxophone is one of the easiest live acts to fit into a venue. One musician needs little more than a couple of square metres and a power socket, which makes a sax player workable in rooms that could never take a full band, and in venues with tight load-in access or no stage at all.

Space, Power and Playing Outdoors

Ask the venue two things before confirming: where the nearest socket is, and whether there is a sound limiter. A sax player who brings their own PA still has to plug it in somewhere, and a limiter set low will cut a saxophone before it cuts recorded music, because the instrument is loud at close range and peaks sharply. Outdoors, heat and cold both pull the instrument out of tune, and direct sun on a metal body is genuinely uncomfortable to play, so shade and a dry surface matter more than a stage does. Drinks receptions on a lawn or terrace work well as long as the act has somewhere to stand that will not sink or soak.

Song Requests and Set Planning

Most saxophonists work from a backing track library rather than sheet music, so a request has to exist as a track before it can be played. Three to four weeks is a reasonable lead time for something learned specially, and a first dance or processional is worth confirming earlier still. Send a running order rather than a start time: an act that knows when speeches finish and when the dance floor opens will place its sets around them, instead of playing through the moments people are meant to be listening to.

What a Sax Player Costs in Norway

Rates for saxophonists in Norway run from kr1,650 to kr11,500+, with typical bookings around kr4,300. Check what the figure covers before comparing quotes: PA and setup are usually included, travel may or may not be, and an overtime rate for running past the agreed finish is worth agreeing in writing rather than on the night. Most acts take a deposit to hold the date, with the balance due close to the event, and short notice tends to cost more rather than less, since a free Saturday in peak season is a date someone else has already turned down.

Our connection translated instantly into a smooth and effective working dynamic, allowing us to deliver consistent results across a wide range of productions. Together, we have performed at numerous private events, from exclusive gatherings to large-scale celebrations hosting hundreds and even thousands of guests. These experiences required not only musical skill, but also strong coordination, adaptability, and a deep understanding of audience expectations — areas where Saxxberry consistently excels. What sets Saxxberry apart is his ability to read the room, control energy, and maintain flow throughout an event. He approaches every performance with precision, professionalism, and a clear focus on the client’s goals. Beyond the technical and musical aspects, Saxxberry brings a calm, solutions-oriented approach that is invaluable in high-pressure event environments. He communicates clearly, adapts quickly to last-minute changes, and understands the importance of timing, brand alignment, and guest experience. He communicated well in the lead up to the event. He was punctual and set up efficiently and discreetly. His performance was fantastic and he played exactly the type of music we had discussed prior to the event. Often corporate events can be quite dry and he added some much needed atmosphere to our event. Many guests commented that they had enjoyed the music. Additionally, Jeffrey was very understanding when our start time was delayed slightly. Overall he was an absolute pleasure to work with and I hope to hire him for future events." He’s an incredibly talented saxophonist and brought so much fun and energy to our celebration. He interacted with our guests on the dance floor, joined the entertainment on stage, and really helped elevate the atmosphere throughout his performance. He was engaging, entertaining, and an absolute pleasure to have at our wedding. Our guests had a great time, and we were very happy with his performance! We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to add something special and memorable to their event!" I’m so sorry we didn’t get the chance to meet you in person, but please know that we were admiring your musical talent from all corners of the venue. A special thank you for taking the time to learn songs that meant so much to us personally. Not every musician is willing to go the extra mile like that, and it truly didn’t go unnoticed. We received so many compliments throughout the evening about having you there, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. ☺️ You may not realize just how much it meant to us, but you added such a special touch to our celebration and helped make the evening that much more memorable. We’re genuinely so grateful. Thank you again 🙂 Best, Maddy & Babs" Based in Williamsburg, Virginia, United States 31st October 2026 Maddy & Babs - Private Wedding Photo of Millicent Stephenson Millicent Stephenson "Absolutely blown away by Millicents performance at my brother's burial.
