Wedding Ceremony Musicians in Australia
Woodwind Musicians in AustraliaBooking an electric violinist in Australia is one of the simpler live music arrangements to plan. Most acts travel self-contained, carrying their instrument, backing tracks and a PA sized for the room, which makes them as practical for a small drinks reception as for a full evening party. Almost all will tailor the set list to the occasion, from background dinner music through to a packed dance floor.
An electric violin stays silent until it is plugged in, so volume sits entirely under the player's control. That makes these acts a safe booking for venues with sound limiters or strict noise rules, where a full live band would struggle. A solo performer needs only a couple of square metres of floor space, a standard power socket and around 30 to 45 minutes to set up and soundcheck. For outdoor ceremonies or open-air receptions, confirm access to power and covered shelter in advance.
Wireless setups are worth asking about early: they free the performer to move through the room during drinks or dinner, then switch to a staged set for the evening. Custom arrangements, such as a first dance or a walk-in track for an awards night, should be agreed at booking, since new material takes time to prepare. If you want an LED light show, check the room can be dimmed; the visuals lose their impact under bright lighting.
Hiring an electric violin act in Australia typically costs between about $240 and $1,650+, with most quotes landing around $700. When comparing quotes, check what each includes: PA and lighting, arrival and setup time, and any extras such as a ceremony set or a late finish. Acts price a full wedding day covering ceremony, drinks and evening party differently from a single evening set, so describe the whole event when you enquire.
The average price is $700 (AUD), with most priced from $240 to $1,650+. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Yohan Lakshitha | Violinist🎻
"Grateful to Yohan for opening our event, Melodies in the Sky with Anjalee, on Saturday, 9 May 2026, with such a heartfelt violin performance. It truly set the perfect tone"
Matthew Lim Violin
"Where do you start with this guy? He's seriously the whole package. Super humble, super gifted and just an all-round great guy!
If you want someone to bless your ears with incredible, classically-trained melodies, then look no further!
Had the privilege of having both Matthew and his wife join us at our wedding. Matthew played at our wedding ceremony and also at our reception! Made the night such a special and unforgettable night.
But don't just take my word for it... ask him yourself! Matthew also was incredibly helpful in working with our budget and was very accommodating, to arrange practice times, in and amongst a busy season of his life.
1000 / 10 recommend!"

Madeleine Antoine Violinist
"Madeleine! Thank you thank you thank you so much for your absolutely beautiful part in our wedding day! I’ve watched the videos people have sent me of the hour before we arrived and honestly my biggest regret of the night was not being able to listen to you play more haha! So so perfect you helped make it such a romantic evening for us and we couldn’t be more grateful for your amazing skills and beautiful performance."

"Ms Ay Shyuan Wong is an exceptionally gifted electric violinist. We invited her all the way from Singapore to Melbourne to perform at my 60th birthday milestone celebration, and she was undoubtedly the highlight of the entertainment for the night.
We feel truly blessed to have had such an extraordinary and talented musician perform for us and make this special occasion even more memorable.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ay Shyuan Wong to anyone looking to add elegance, excitement, and a touch of magic to their special occasion. She is truly exceptional.
Bests Regards
Dave and family."
