Photo of Jake Williams Jake Williams "Jake was such a great addition to our teens’ dinner party. Our guests loved his music, little kids danced under the tree lights while the adults enjoyed dinner and drinks, and people kept complimenting how fun and talented he was throughout the night. He played for three hours with breaks of course but impressive! He also played such a great variety of songs, and at one point my husband looked over and said, “Is he playing Enrique Iglesias?” — and it turned out to be one of our proposal songs, which made the night feel extra special and personal, even if he didn’t know that was one of our songs. Jake arrived early to set up, communicated clearly before and the day of the event, and was always easy to reach. He created such a warm, joyful atmosphere and truly made the evening memorable. Highly recommend him for any gathering! I hope to see him again when my friends book him in the future and of course he’ll be in my list of hire as well. Thank you Jake for a wonderful evening!!!" This is our second time using his services during our cocktail hour and it's always a pleasure! Reliable, Friendly, and Great Music!!" The band was amazing! Our attendees loved it." Based in Phoenix, Arizona Roseanna - Citywire Financial Publishers Ltd. Photo of Paul James Music Paul James Music "Paul captivated everyone at our company party with his music and enthusiasm. They kept complimenting on how much they enjoyed his performance. I'll be having him play again at our next event!" Based in Phoenix, Arizona Joan Abbey - Corporate Party Photo of Paul Wells Band Paul Wells Band "Highly professional singer/guitarist; fun & entertaining. Paul Wells provided excellent entertainment at multiple events for my healthcare organization from 2010 through 2020. Always on time, very organized, & willing to "go with the flow" when our systems may not have been so accommodating. Example: for one outdoor event, we had difficulty running a cable for his equipment in the location we had placed him. Paul went out of his way to help get everything set up & started his performance on time. Wonderful voice, excellent guitar skills, & a great sense of humor when interacting with his audience. An extensive song list ensures something for everyone. People love him! Although I am now retired, I continue to seek Paul out when looking for outstanding entertainment." Right up there with performances we saw in Spain." Based in Scottsdale, Arizona (11 miles from Phoenix) 4th October 2026 Claudia D - Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch

Frequently asked questions

Hiring wedding ceremony musicians typically costs between $160 and $1,350+, with an average of $450. The price depends on the type of musician, performance duration and whether the booking covers the ceremony alone or includes the drinks reception. Popular options include string quartets, harpists, solo vocalists, pianists and acoustic duos, and ensemble acts cost more than solo performers.

The most popular choices for wedding ceremonies include string quartets, harpists, pianists, classical guitarists, flute players and vocalists. The right choice depends on the venue and the atmosphere the couple wants to create. The wedding ceremony musicians for hire include a wide range of instrumentalists and ensembles to suit different ceremony styles.

Most wedding ceremony musicians perform for 30 minutes to one hour, covering the key moments such as the guest arrival, the processional, any signing of the register or documents, and the recessional. Some musicians also offer extended packages that include pre-ceremony background music or music during a drinks reception afterwards.

Most wedding ceremony musicians are happy to learn or arrange specific songs for key moments such as walking down the aisle. Gig Heaven recommends contacting musicians well in advance with any special requests, as some songs may need time to arrange for a particular instrument or ensemble.

Many wedding ceremony musicians are happy to perform outdoors, though this should be confirmed with the musician in advance. Outdoor performances may be affected by wind, rain or temperature, which can impact acoustic instruments. Providing a covered or sheltered area for the musicians and their equipment is strongly recommended.

Some wedding ceremony musicians offer packages covering both the ceremony and the drinks reception or the wedding meal. Others specialise in ceremony music only. It is a good idea to check each musician's profile for their available packages, or contact them to discuss a tailored arrangement.
