We are a professional jazz duo that provides elegant live jazz music tailored to create the right atmosphere for your event, that could be as subtle background music during a reception or dinner or as a main feature.
Our duo foundation consists of a double bass player and a pianist, with more than 25 years of experience each, performing across corporate events, weddings, and private functions in Copenhagen and internationally. The duo also have a trusted network of musicians and can easily coordinate adding drums, guitar, and/or a singer if it's more suited to the event.
Benoit Birlouet is a French jazz pianist and composer with a rich career spanning jazz clubs and groups in Paris and Copenhagen. He has recently released an album.
Henrik Simon Simonsen is a double bassist who has been a permanent member of the orchestra at Copenhagen's renowned Det Ny Teater for more than 25 years, performing in countless acclaimed productions, as well as internationally with different jazz configurations.

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue
We provide provide all necessary sound equipment. We do not have lighting equipment.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
Our standard offer is for 2 x 45 minutes. It is usually what suits our customers best, but we are flexible and can adapt timing as needed.
We love performing outside, garden parties are great! All we need is a power supply.
Our customers usually come with a genre request, like bossa nova, swing, French jazz, etc. We can also learn some specific tunes for a special event, but this should be limited, unless it's a jazz standard which we are likely to know anyway :)
