A concert in St. Gallen, where we played before 2,500 incredibly enthusiastic young people, will forever be etched in my memory. Nevertheless, my most poignant memories are of simple recitals for trumpet and organ in small country villages. And then there was that concert for an audience limited to a young couple, a marriage proposal set between a Handel overture and the Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso.
