Hot Savoy Five is a five-piece swing ensemble inspired by the timeless spirit of jazz from the 1920s to the 1940s. Our music draws from the traditions of New Orleans hot jazz, early swing, and the great small jazz combos of the golden era, with a repertoire designed to bring rhythm, elegance and a joyful atmosphere to every performance.
The band brings together five musicians based around the Jura, Léman and Savoie regions, between France and Switzerland. This unique cross-border identity is reflected in our name: “Hot Savoy” is a playful reference to both the energy of “hot jazz” and the French region of Haute-Savoie.
With a passion for vintage sound, improvisation and swing groove, Hot Savoy Five aims to recreate the spirit of the classic jazz clubs while adding its own personality and contemporary energy. The project is suited for jazz festivals, cultural events, private functions, dance evenings and any occasion where live swing music can create a warm and memorable atmosphere.

A flat, stable and level performance area of at least 4m x 3m is required. Electrical power outlets should be available in the vicinity of the stage or performance area.

We arrive 2 Hours before the performance to set up. We usually play 2 hours, as 4 x30 minute or 3 x 40 minute or 2 x 60 minutes
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade.
The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
We have performed at events with Lindy Hop dancers, and they were truly delighted with the energy and spirit of the band.
