FOOT STOMPIN’ CEILIDH BAND ARE AN ENERGETIC BAND OF EXPERIENCED AND PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS WHO GUARANTEE TO GET EVERYONE UP ON THE FLOOR FOR A FOOT STOMPIN’ EVENING!
The band can be booked for up to 4 hours, finishing at midnight, in the following lineups:
3 Piece - Pipes, Fiddle and Guitar/Vocals
4 Piece - Adds Drums
5 Piece - Adds Accordion or Double Bass
Each option includes DJ service within the 4 hour package.
A typical evening would be structured as follows:
2000-2130 - First dance and then Ceilidh with Covers to give dancers a rest
2130-2200 - Break for buffet, we play background music through our system
2200-2315 - DJ Set
2315-0000 - Ceilidh and Covers finishing with a Orcadian Strip the Willow, Auld Lang Syne and Loch Lomond
The band can also provide a variety of additional options primarily for weddings but other events too:
Ceremonial Piper
Suggested duties:
Piping as guests arrive 30 minutes
Piping bride down the aisle (optional)
Piping newly weds back up the aisle
Piping top table into meal
Piping newly weds into meal
Acoustic Duo (fiddle and guitar)
Playing for 30 minutes before ceremony, during the ceremony as required (includes learning 2 pieces).
Up to 1 hour performance as background music during drinks reception.
= free travel (up to 10 miles)
The band is fully self contained providing PA and Lighting for any events in the UK.
Setup will take place 1 hour directly before the performance.
